I think what he said was it was a long shot that he, Wade and LeBron would be there together..

Bosh said it would be a long shot for him to team up with Lebron and Wade in Miami. I guess that is good news for us......as well as the rest of the league.

It's a long shot because someone would have to forgo max money.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/...ap-room-summary

    Miami Heat
Maximum cap room: 1.67 MCs (with Wade re-signed); 2.64 MCs (if Wade leaves)

What needs to happen to get to this amount?: This may be counterintuitive, but the Heat gain more cap room if Wade becomes a free agent than if he invokes the option in his contract to stay with the team through 2010-11. Wade needs to become a free agent. The Heat already have declined the team option on Kenny Hasbrouck. They also released James Jones, whose $4.65 million salary was guaranteed for just $1.86 million -- clearing an additional $2.79 million from the team's books.

What can they do to get more? There's not much left to trim from their roster. To keep Wade and go after both James and Bosh, they'd need to convince at least one of the free agents to take less. Even moving Michael Beasley and Mario Chalmers for nothing wouldn't create enough cap room to sign all three star free agents at the full maximum.

    Ric Bucher:

It will Bosh or Boozer next to Wade in Miami, not a trio. Less than likely. Riley planning to meet with Boozer, Stoudemire in LA as soon as he technically can.

Joe Johnson will be(in his opinion) the first big domino to fall. He could stay in ATL for the max.

Game of chicken in Denver. Will/When/Do they pull the offer?

Yahoo: raptors look at S&T options

    Raptors look at sign-and-trade options

The Toronto Raptors have talked to six to eight teams willing to do sign-and-trades for Chris Bosh(notes), but front office sources say general manager Bryan Colangelo has ruled out bringing back the expensive contract of Bulls forward Luol Deng(notes).

Deng has four years and nearly $50 million left on his contract, and the Bulls have been dangling him as part of sign-and-trade possibilities involving Bosh, LeBron James(notes) and Joe Johnson.

Colangelo is working on possible deals, but Bosh ultimately has to want to go to the teams. Besides Chicago, Miami, New York and New Jersey, the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks are determined suitors for Bosh.

Can we ask about Amare and Carmello instead? These guys might be bigger players in the playoffs.

For what it's worth, David Aldridge on NBATV just echoed Bucher's assessment, downplaying CHI/MIA chances at Bosh because of lack of sign and trade assets and hyping up Houston and Dallas as real contenders.

Cosign on Carmelo. He is a better building block than Bosh, even though we already have a SF.

This is by far the best news the Rockets could hope to hear out of everything else that's been listed.

As it stands Chicago is the best candidate on paper to land Lebron and Bosh. However, they don't have the cap space to sign two free agents to the max--one has to be done by sign and trade, and they dont' really have any assets to trade back equivalent to max dollars besides Deng.

Lebron would seem to be extremely unlikely to sign in this manner though as Cleveland has played hardball and said that it would not agree to a SnT of any sort, that it would not be a party to trading away the best player in the NBA. So that leaves Toronto who has said it would be willing to SnT Bosh out.

Any news that shows Toronto absolutely unwilling to SnT Bosh for Deng in return is going to effectively mean that Toronto will not trade Bosh to Chicago. The only possibility I can foresee is if Bosh really REALLY wants to go to Chicago, then perhaps Chicago can entice the deal by including a piece like Noah in conjunction with Deng to fatten up the deal. But that would really screw up Chicago's longterm plan of having Rose-Lebron-Bosh-Noah as their championship line-up, and it would also force Bosh to do what he hates, play center.

Gotta hope that this impasse holds up as a deterrent for Bosh to go to Chicago. Great news.

Ric Bucher reporting Bosh could go to Cleveland on a S&T. Not sure on the pieces that would go back.

The cavs have tried hard to make this happen. I guess this is what James wants the most. I am not sure whether Bosh wants to go there. And, what the cavs can offer for this trade?
