Randolph can play the 4 when the Chuckwagon is on the floor, since he's so great at help defense. Then, because he's so much longer, he can play the 5 when Landry or Scola is present.

I don't know, but I see more than just a little potential with his skill set. I think that he's the kind of player that you make room for. If you've seen them play enough, he seems like a decent buy too. He's just getting the raw end in Golden State. Granted, nobody seems as nice as Landry does, but he seems ok enough to me.

Getting him to a team like Houston that is loaded with hard working professionals would do wonders for his development.

Everyone owes it to themselves to watch a GS game live and up close just for this. Randolph goes through a roller coaster of emotions on nearly every play. From minute to minute you don't know if he is going to punch someone, start crying or pull a hidden gun out from under the bench and blast himself in the head. It's major weird but entertaining to watch. I'll say it again, he's got Eddie Griffin II written all over him.

    But...

getting him to a team like New York that jacks up his states would do wonders for his huge raise.

This is the trade idea that would work. Not the other one.

I really like this idea.

Your idea isn't bad. I just don't think we should dismantle our team this early in the season.

Won't get it done, however I'm in agreement with you about not giving up much for him. He has potential, but needs a lot of time to get better.

    My trade works:

    Randolph
Ellis (4 more years at 11+ million)
Maggette (poison pill 3 more years)

    for

    Tmac - expiring
    Dorsey - Expiring

We actually only take back $21 million in salary for nearly $24 million going out which gets us under the Lux tax I believe.

So, GS gets to start over, and jettison some long term deals.

Houston gets Randolph and Ellis as rotational players and Maggette as a talented scorer in case of emergency type of player.

I just think landry is going to ask way too much in the offseason, and i just don't think he or millsap or those types of players are worth it. David Andersen is not hard to let go.

Battier is being replaced by Ariza to guard the elite wings on every team.

Either way, im actually on the "Keep T-Mac" boat.

That would be awesome. Too bad their contracts don't match.

Plus Adelman has a history of developing young players...Nellie has a history of frustrating the hell outta of them.

I think it'll be a good fit, plus most likely Tmac gets to go to GSW and he'll have total freedom there, he can showcase his talent to the NBA for his next contract.
