Abbreviated NBARank starts again on ESPN. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9145033/#nbarank-player-ratings-26-30 Where do you think our hirsute franchise player is placed in the top 30?
I wonder how they rank Love or Rose considering they've been injured for most/whole season. Harden should be above at least one of them taking 7th or 8th on the list.
I dont consider him top 10 due to complete lack of D. He gets 25 points easily but he also lets the opponent SG get 25 points easily. If he actually gets average D and stops forcing isolation plays, he can make it within top 10 for sure
I think 11-15. LeBron, Wade, Durant, Westbrook, Melo, CP3, Parker, and Kobe are probably all locks to be ahead of him. Then you have to figure out where to place him amongst the injured/recovering players like Howard, Rose and Love. Plus Duncan and Blake are in the mix. My guess is at least 2 of those last 5 end up ahead of him.
Harden was previously 26th. The top 20 players in the previous ESPN ranking 1. LeBron James 2. Kevin Durant 3. Dwight Howard 4. Chris Paul 5. Derrick Rose 6. Kobe Bryant 7. Kevin Love 8. Dwyane Wade 9. Russell Westbrook 10. Deron Williams 11. Dirk Nowitzki 12. Rajon Rondo 13. Andrew Bynum 14. Blake Griffin 15. Pau Gasol 16. Tony Parker 17. Carmelo Anthony 18. Chris Bosh 19. Steve Nash 20. LaMarcus Aldridge Guys like Deron, Nowitizki, Bynum, Gasol, Nash have dropped quite a bit. D12 has dropped but still in top 10. Yeah he's top 10. Hasn't cracked top 5. Kobe and DWade have played very well this year.
Maybe he is conserving his energy for the playoffs to play with more intensity on defense? There are stretches where he plays good defense, which is primarily effort, but he also does have some bad habits.
Wow, poor Kevin Love. I know he's struggled this year but dropping from #7 to #27? Ouch. I've got Harden at #8.
I think Melo is back in top 10, prob ahead of Harden since he's done it longer. But I think Harden is ahead of Parker and Westbrook. Blake is higher but don't think ahead of Harden. Duncan has to be lower since he's old.
Highlighting guys from last year's list who should still be in front of Harden, and italicizing guys who might be. Puts him in the 4-16 range. 1. LeBron James 2. Kevin Durant 3. Dwight Howard 4. Chris Paul 5. Derrick Rose 6. Kobe Bryant 7. Kevin Love 8. Dwyane Wade 9. Russell Westbrook 10. Deron Williams 11. Dirk Nowitzki 12. Rajon Rondo 13. Andrew Bynum 14. Blake Griffin 15. Pau Gasol 16. Tony Parker 17. Carmelo Anthony 18. Chris Bosh 19. Steve Nash 20. LaMarcus Aldridge 21. Kevin Garnett 22. Kyrie Irving 23. Tyson Chandler 24. Marc Gasol 25. Manu Ginobili
That's disrespectful. He's been hurt, hasn't shown lost production like other hurt guys such as Nash and Gasol. So what you drop DRose 20 spots?
