I think they look more lifelike and have a few more features than Live '02. It was just that they had more features in the game's previous version, NBA 2K3. It is definitly good enough, IMO. I created two Rockets and they look good enough to me.
I believe the Sega sports online servers are only available in North America and South Korea at the moment. B: Wednesday at 6 is fine. I really wish there were an online buddy list on this game like on the EA sports games
Cool, I'll meet you online around 6 then. Do you have a headset? I don't yet, but I might pick one up. Send me an email through the board and I'll give you my phone number in case we run into any problems. B
Has anyone noticed that if you run offensive plays while playing online that the other people on your team actually move without the ball and try to make backdoor cuts? When i play a normal oflline game, my players just seem to stand still. Is there any setting I can change to correct this? In particular, it would be nice if my guards actually cut to the baskrt after making a post entry pass like they do in the online mode.
The PS2 ESPN NBA Basketball league needs either 1 or 3 more teams to start. I'd like to close the league tonight sometime after the game, so if you still want to join, go to http://www.espnvideogames.com/community/tour/tour_nfl/ league name: ClutchCity password: rockets Just as a side note, I'm sure this won't work perfect, and there will be some hiccups with the first league. That's why I don't mind it being just a few teams and a short season. I may even cut it to 4 weeks if there are only 4 teams so we can start another league after the holidays knowing how to run the league better. B
Yes, we are still on for tonight at 6. When you go to play online choose league and as long as you long in as the same name you should automatically be taken into the Clutchcity league room. I'm already in there, so I am ready to play when you are. Give me a call if you have any problems. I'll try to keep an eye on this thread in case you run into any problems. B
Congrats to DanHiggsBeard on winning the first game in overtime. The box score can be found at http://myleagues.espnvideogames.com/d?e=241&p=15&EV=1165&B=1. B
Great game that really went back and forth until a little run in overtime. I think the biggest problem with the online league might be free throws. The slight lag in gameplay leaves you guessing at when to release the ball. I must have missed 90% of my free throws because of this. Who else in the league? I need that info to arrange my next game. Also, do you have to play your game on the scheduled date, or is that just a deadline?
You have one week to play the game. The other people in the league can be found on the league web page. I hope we can keep this thread alive for a while and generate some interest in a larger league starting in a month or two on the PS2. B
So who else from this board in the league? I noticed the Lakers and T'Wolves still haven't played their first game, and I'm itching to play my second.
I sent both teams 5 messages over 6 days with no response. I kicked both the owners tonight, so if anyone wants to join, please speak up. Otherwise I'll disband the league and make a new one if I can get 8 people from ClutchFans to join. B
I quit playing a game because the connection was so horrible. It would take 5 seconds just to make the inbound pass after a bucket, and I couldn;t even call a play on defense because it was so sluggish. I asked the admin to remove me from the league because I thought it was only fair that I be disqualified for quitting.
Yeah, I can't stand playing against dial-up players when it takes two hours to play a 20 minute game. Do you think we should just end the current league we have, start a new thread and see if we can get active people from ClutchFans to play? B
If it helps to know, I plan to get the Online adapter (broadband) sometimes soon. But most likely it would be in a month or so. (Gotta get a new router and decide how to route the wires or just go with wireless and wireless bridge). btw, anyone know of a good place (maybe soemthing besides ebay) that sells cheap/on sale wireless B routers/cards? Lowest I've seen is about $40, but I feel they can be cheaper.
