anyone mind commenting on this. does leach really have a policy to not allow kids to transfer? man, should have just let him transfer

EDIT: actually, now that i think about it, if the AD/administration wanted him gone and were looking for any excuse to get rid of leach, because they didnt like him, as some have said, if the player expressed wanting to transfer, couldnt he have just gone to the AD himself? they could set that up correct? if the AD didnt like leach, why would they follow a rule leach wants to implement?

There are usually scapegoats when something like this happens and I'm guessing there are two of them that have the last name of James. Good luck with that.

The guy always came off as an ass clown to me. Well I guess he now has more time to spend with his fat little significant other.

I'll still reserve judgment as the facts come out, but for Tech to fire Leach before the bowl game seems unbelievably stupid unless they have other "dirt" to bury him with that they didn't know about before a couple of days ago. I'll ask this again: If what they discovered was so bad, why did they give him the opportunity to apologize for it before taking action? Did they think he would be hanging himself by apologizing? An apology can't make up for a fireable offense.

I normally don't give a flip about Texas Tech but this is amazing stuff.

I've said it before, I think the AD in Tech from this offseason seem to want to be the head honcho in the football program but knew he was extremely less popular than Leach in Lubbock and would lose in any power struggle. He saw what happened in Kansas and think this is a potential opportunity to get Leach out of town without screwing himself over, this could back fire big time.

I could be wrong, but I think this is what happened.

Art Briles is going be the next Texas Tech coach IMO. The only other guy I seeing getting the job is Sonny Dykes.

Man, that would rofl my waffle.

I could see it happening, too.

Briles has very little scruples and almost no loyalty to Baylor.

His roots are at Tech and in north Texas.

It would be pretty sweet justice for the Bears, too.

If one ESPN and the media sources are saying is true then Mike Leach deserves to get all the rest of his salary from Tech. It was injustice what they did to Leech just giving him the boot like that.

As for Adam James I don't know how you as a man complain like a wuss to your parents about that. You cost a man his job over hardly nothing. You are a football player you signed the physical releases you knew what you were getting into.

Now i'm sure half the team thinks much less of him.

Good job Texas Tech, Mike Leach though he was bigger than the University, and just learned an expensive lesson.

If you hire somebody who is willing to leave the way Briles did (agreed to contract extension, but was only using that as leverage to get more money during undisclosed negotiations with Baylor, took entire staff with him prior to bowl game, used UH recruiting resources to help Baylor), then you assume the risk they're going to someday treat you the same way.

Kind of like if you marry a girl that you met while she was cheating on her husband.

    Justice.
