No BMoney, I am looking at his entire career, his propensity to quit when things are tough, his lack of leadership, his throwing his teamates under the bus, here and in Orlando. He is about as mentally weak as they come, he just doesn't have that burning desire to compete. He is more concerned with being Tmac, than he is with winning basketball games. At least that is how it looks to me... DD
We've been talking about the possibility of acquiring the 5th pick for a while but to hear Morey is very interested makes me excited. I know Tracy is working hard but its tough to pass on a future leader for this team. Jordan Hill, James Harden, or Tyreke Evans would be great picks.
See, I do not differentiate...because by your measure...Bill Willoughby was amazing. It is all about production on the court and especially in the playoffs.... Tmac is just not on an elite level because he doesn't compete and backs down far too often. He is mentally weak, he is a follower not a leader. DD
QFT. No matter how you see him as a person, T-Mac upping his value is definitely good for the Rockets. I cannot fathom how a Rockets fan would wish him doing bad.
DD, I completely agree with T-Mac being mentally weak. But it has nothing to do with what Im talking about. Im strictly talking about pure physical talent and skill level. And from what I can remember all Bill Willoughby could do was jump. Talent wise Tracy is second to none, the game just comes completely effortless to him. Im being objective here.
well, without the distractions, the GARM would be much better. we don't want DD and some of those guys throw out those conspiracy theories. i mean, i've heard enough about tracy faking injuries, wanting surgeries to avoid being traded... right?
Even if healthy, he is not a top 10 player; he just doesn't improve efficiency enough on the offensive or defensive end.
So are you saying the last time Tracy was healthy he wasn't a top 10 player? I'll say the last time he was healthy was the start of the 07-08 season and he looked to be in great shape and looked like a top 5 player before his first injury.
Ha! You think the drama ends if Tracy leaves? They'll find a new monster...and DD will be right there rallying the mob and lighting everyone's torches.
Please check the tense of the verb "is". And in 2007-2008, I'm sure there are at least 10 players most GMs would prefer to have before McGrady if they wanted to win a championship. Check out: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/stati...e=nba&split=0&season=2008&seasontype=2&pos=sg It isn't good to take that many shots and not be efficient.
You said when healthy Tracy wasn't healthy after the first 8 games or so. The rest of that year he played injury.
Okay, if he was a top 5 player, then name the position he would play. Here is the all NBA team of 2007-2008 C - Howard PF - KG SF - Lebron SG - Kobe PG - Paul
I said through the first 8 games he was playing like a top 5 player not through the whole year. And the all NBA team can be misleading because you can be a top 5 player and but at the same time the second best SG in the game.
Regardless, there is no way he is now a top 10 player even if he were healthy. I won't even bring up the "coincidence" that we got out of the first round when he was injured.
Well only time will tell because he hasn't been healthy in a while and who knows maybe he'll never be healthy again. But next season we will find out.
I'm not willing to take that chance. If they can swing a deal for some more reliable players, I would pull the trigger.
