I am a Tmac fan, I will admit it. I am not ashamed or afraid of admitting it either.

Do I think McGrady is a good fit for our team?? Sometimes I do and other times I do not. He does take some very questionable jump shots and his intensity is rarely consistent, but at the same time he has court vision, a rare skill set that many players in the NBA do not have.

If we could get a player in return that could help this team I would be all for it. Tmac is a risky investment and even though I am a fan, I would not mind seeing him gone if that meant getting a vince carter, a joe johnson, or even a hedo turk.

If we could net us a prime time player w/ tmac's contract, by all means lets do it.. but many of you guys seem like you loathe him so much and would be happy just trading him for peanuts.

And NOOO I would not like cry baby Cory Magettingmeaheadache on our team. Dude cries about PT and not getting enough shots.. And of top of that, he is the a ball hog too. No thanks DD

If he could do one other thing it might make sense.

He won't help against a front against Yao. The problem is here is that teams will play the drive, so once he drives they can close that off and he's not going to be able to get Yao the ball. The only thing it does is set-up Yao for more offensive rebounds. While that's a positive, that's not a cure for fronting Defenses.

What is a cure is a guy who can drive and dish. We had that guy once, his name was T-mac. He was able to drive, draw defenses, and then dish to Yao or Hayes even for easy scores.

T-mac may not be back. But CM isn't the right option. Not for this team. Kyle Lowry can drive to the basket and draw fouls. We have that. Maybe not as well as Maggette, but well enough that Maggette doesn't really offer us that much more.

The problem with this team right now is that with Rafer gone and T-mac out, we have no one who can pass the ball and create shots for other guys. Brooks is not a great passer.

If you were to say, hey, let's get Chris Paul, you wouldn't see me say no to that. But to CM, I completely disagree. There's nothing to make me think he is going to be anything that helps us be closer to a championship team. And it goes against your whole "share the ball and team concept". You preach that to get rid of T-mac, but do the opposite when you support acquiring Maggette.

    It doesn't make sense.

    DD,

You exude confidence. Everybody and their mama...and their grandmama says Corey Maggette is overrated and would be a poor fit for the Rockets. You stay strong...never wavering.

I'm with u on maggette, I think he does fit. That's why I've talked about jacskon, maggette, and turiaf for tracy and barry. Let von and artest walk. Jacskon gives u a playmaker, maggette gives u the 15-20 off the bench and turiaf gives yao a legit 18 min backup who can also play with yao when landry and scola have trouble defending guys without killing your offense. Jackson moves pretty well off the ball, butg at times can be a ball stopper.

he only fits if you let either von or artest go. you can't have 3 guys who can't create and just prefer to score.

I am just teasing you. Not insulting you. I didn't say you take medication and then run away. That would be an insult.

Lou, you can't insult people at one turn and then expect them to understand a tease in the next instance...maybe if you used a winky guy ;)

But either way, you have good thoughts, but when people don't agree, you resort to insulting them or calling their thoughts stupid, or that you don't respect their opinion.

Even though I disagree with you, I respect your position......

All we are ever doing is talking opinions about basketball and their are multiple ways to win in the game.....

I would appreciate it, if you actually discussed things in an intelligent manner without resorting to name calling or escalation.

    Thanks.

lol - i have not insulted you dude. You are classic.

I respect your opinion fine dada, but i question your motives and rationale.

But I ask you Dada, about your insults to me. You know, calling me a coward and then saying I take medications for whatever reasons. Is that not an insult? C'mon buddy - just admit you were wrong. Do it once. Just once. This is for you man, not me.

I like you dada. I really do. That's the only reason I try to keep you honest.

If people tell you they are insulted, then you did insult them.

You said you did not respect my basketball opinion earlier in this thread.

Sure it is, it is after you started it....if you insult someone expect to be insulted back.

I only admit it when I am wrong, see this thread

You do no such thing you disagree, insult, then get upset when people come back at you, then you say...let's get back on topic after getting in some cheap shots....

Just stop insulting people when they disagree with your opinion and it is all good.

I respect that you have an opinion Dada, and I respect you as a person, but I do not respect your basketball opinion as that of someone who knows what they are talking about. That has nothing to do with you, and has everything to do with the rationale and logic you post. That's not meant to be an insult. I am not calling you a name. I am not saying you are stupid. YOu are very intelligent, just very stuck on some ideas that really don't add up in my book.

Just like I wouldn't respect a medical opinion coming from someone who seemed to have personal biases that influenced their decisions - that's not an insult to the person, that's just a healthy does of skepticism. I can't help it if you take that as an insult. My intention has never been to insult you. I can not control it if you take it that way. But you are being hypocritical to say it's ok to insult me because you perceived that i insulted you.

I appreciate it that you can admit that you "guess" you were wrong about a position a soccer player played. But you have been wrong about other things I have pointed out and still refuse to admit them. Maybe it's just about your basketball knowledge that you have trouble admitting you are wrong about or take a lot of pride in that it's a sensitive area for ya. Like I said, I think you watch a lot of games, but I don't agree that your posts are all that insightful. That's not an insult, that's my assessment of your posts.

I do apologize if comparing your stubbornness in regards to T-mac and Corey Maggette to GW insulted you. To me, it was teasing. I don't have any desire to insult you or hurt your feelings. I assume you have thicker skin than most, but if you like, I will not tease you anymore.

DaDa - be careful. He's baiting you.

Very rich to watch Lou Yorker insult and bait people, then cry foul when someone retaliates or have the gall to say they've insulted him.

McGrady will be back and you guys will love him but as for Tim Grover, Is this guy really the real deal? I mean McGrady is entering his 13th season. Yeah its a contract year so maybe that will motivate him but for him working out can this guy really push him. I keep hearing and reading that he did wonders with Dwayne Wade, Jordan and so on but none of those guys have the body like McGrady. I wonder whats going to happen.

Grover is the real deal, it is great that Tmac is working with him...not good, GREAT !!!

I have doubts about Tmac, but if anyone can get him back, it is Grover.
