It is what I was referencing, it is the meaning and context in which I was using it. And you know it.... You are just being obtuse... Yes, yes, the typical New Yorker blast away, then cut and run after saying rude and inciteful things..... DD
The last couple of pages of this thread were pretty funny and entertaining. After reading a couple of them I forgot which thread I was in until I looked up at the title and started laughing
Too funny, nothing like a good BBS smackdown/trash talk session. FWIW, Clutch used "poisonous" in his latest story. The bottom line is that the Rox need to figure out if they're going to be better with or without T-Mac going forward. That's all it boils down to. If Morey thinks he can get appreciably better by trading McGrady, he'll do it. If nothing good comes up this summer, he'll move onto plan B. IMO, bringing back the trio of Mac, Battier, and Artest is not a good idea. Thinking that you can get enough minutes for all three (and playing Artest at the 4 at the end of the game) is just foolish.
No. Not at all, In fact they are very even handed... You can find a source for every number on that list, and not only for 1 team, but for 2...
Lets just break it down, and see if us non-ostrich folk can debunk the "reality of the Tmac situation. False, serious injuries are career ending. He will supposedly be ready to go for training camp and is ahead of schedule. Other players with similar injuries have come back and been productive. True. But it is hard to see if age is causing the decline or the injury. In last years playoffs he was still pretty damn good. False, he has been worth every penny of his contract. He carried this team to fifty wins nearly every season he has been here. Our winning percentage with him on the court vs him out speaks for itself. This year he was playing through injuries and was not worth the money, but there is no reason to believe he can't return to form next season. With that logic, Yao wasnt worth his contract last year or when he broke his leg. False. Don't care what insiders say. Yao was asked straight up about Aldridge's comments and said "our locker room is terrific". I personally witnessed Tmac and Artest with thier arms around each other walking into the locker room at half time in this years playoffs. (can't remember which of the four games it was that I went too). Perhaps Alston and Mac had problems, I dont know, but he is gone and Mac is still here. True. One time McGrady said it was hard to play his game with his amount of touches. Guess what, so did Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol. But you wrote this like everyday he comes in and constantly whines and complains which just isnt true. When? When did McGrady blame his teamates. I remember him saying he never played with Shaq or Duncan, which was stupid, but true. But I aslo remember "its on me". If anyone has been saying it, it has been this board. Four people scored in one of our playoff games. FOUR. Again, this is not a first or a last in the NBA. False. He never quit. He kept saying he was in pain and something wasnt right. Doctors couldn't find anything, so he kept going out there and trying to play even though he knew something was wrong. I know when I go to the doctor and feel like crap, I have heard them say "well I cant find anything wrong with you", it doesn't change the fact that something is wrong. You guys can link the Moon dunk all you want, but the guy was on one knee and couldnt move. "its on me" ???? I don't even know what happened here. Might of happened, might not. Its not like it was hidden that he was visiting numerous doctors around the league looking for opinions. All I remember was Morey saying he was supposed to go to three doctors and make a decision, but only went to two and made the announcement. They called it a miscommunication. False. You keep saying this, I am sure you believe it. Please link me to where anyone says he didnt rehab properly. He was told to strengthen his knee by playing, he kept playing and got progressively worse. I do care what he contributed to this team for the past five years. I don't care about Orlando, but I will not condemn a guy who helped make this team competitive and enjoyable to watch for the past 5 years. What you don't do is go on a witch hunt because you are looking for a scapegoat. You also don't suggest making ridiculous trades like Stephon freaking Marbury...seriously I don't know what the heck you were thinking with that one. What you do is make your team better. If there is a trade out there, you take it, but stop ostracizing your own players and burning bridges. Ostrich out
^ good job. DaDa owned. And the best one for me is 1. He is seriously injured. DaDa is the one who said he was faking it all along and NOT seriously injured. Now that it fits his agenda, he's staying Tmac is "seriously injured". Which one is it DaDa? Make up your mind.
Well, there's no real contradiction. Originally, McGrady was told to play through the pain to strengthen the knee. This indicates that it was not seriously injured. However, McGrady then chose to have microfracture surgery. I do believe that microfracture (and its rehab process) is risky enough that it merits being called a "serious injury." After all, it's taken some guys a year to fully recover.
