Come on man....Everyone does that. Stop acting like T-Mac is the only one that does it....It was one play.
It was actually his body language the entire game. He played much of the game from the half court line and gave up the ball like hot potato.
I am sure T-Mac could use all the support he can get as he continues to search not only for yet another NBA team, but his all-star talent that was suppose to be back last season as well as the 2nd round of the playoffs. Such undying support from some of you really does mean a lot to a perpetual loser in the NBA.
did you watch the clip? that wasn't one play. also, on the one play you are focusing on, he was already at the half court line, meaning he had a headstart on getting back on D and still didn't bother to do anything.
I for one never found anything wrong with the Moon dunk, because T-Mac did at least make a swipe at the ball. He predicted horribly given that Moon is very unlikely to be the type to go for a layup, but T-Mac did at least pretend to make some attempt at defense. It's the second play, where he stands at midcourt and just never even tries to do jack, that is disgusting and for someone making as much money and has as much talent and expectations as him, completely checking out on an offensive sequence is a joke. I love T-Mac but all his flaws have begun to rear its head in these few years, and his talent can't cover it up anymore. I think him retiring is not the worst move.
I watched that game. He was standing the entire 2nd half. And I doubt he even crossed that 3pt line during that time. I went crazy watching this game.
you get my point. these suckers are making it seem that you plug t-mac on any team than they would win, but if they lose, then the team sucks. the Lakers won the championship last year. Replace Kobe with Tmac. what do you get? you get T-mac telling TMZ he needs microfracture surgery. Replace Lebron with Tmac last year. what do you get? you get a lottery team.
When SF3 rejoined Rockets a couple of seasons ago, TMac was asked what he thouht SF3 role should be. TMac said something like "if after all these years, he still doesn't know how to be humble..." blah blah. Isn't it ironic that Tmac himself doesn't understand this and accept to take a lesser role? Talented? Yes, in the past. But not very smart and definitely immature as a person.
An attempt at defense would have been keeping himself in front of Moon instead of letting him drive right by for a dunk. This one play has to be the single most worst case of zero defense that I have ever seen. His "swipe" couldn't even strip a chihuahua of an oversized tennis ball. Good riddance to this quitter and waste of talent.
All you haters are gonna eat crow next year when MerGady comes back better than ever. Yes, better than Kobe and LerBon. /serious face
that is pretty unfair, if you replaced a healthy t-mac with Kobe last year in the Lakers team you would get something decent to be honest. Maybe not championship but close enough. Ditto with Lebron and the Caveliers. Some of those Laker teams that Kobe had were BAD. Smush Parker, Kwame Brown to name two people off the top of my head who were as bad as Rafer et al
In August, he will say he is ready to play another season, he is 100% healthy. I wonder what teams will believe that.
