T-Wack will go down as one of the biggest failures in NBA history.

Probably the only multiple All-Star to never get out of the first round.

Had a lot of talent but just had no heart....

T-Mac is a joke...didnt he say next year he'll be back and be back as an all-star not to long ago?

he changes his mind quick just like Ron Artest.

Let me say something before i bow out the usual t-mac thread. Anyone who thought the guy had micrfracture surgery this late in his career to block a trade was foolish. There is a huge difference in having that surgery when you are young like amare vs tracy and his age. Allen Houston and Webber couldnt do it either. If i were him, i would give ita go this summer like he mentioned. If he can regain some consistency in the knee, he can still be a good player.

That's true. You just don't decide to have the worst surgery that you can have on your knee to just block a trade. It would be silly, dumb, foolish, etc...

From his official site. But again, stop talking and get back to work. Talking is cheap.

    lets backtrack a little bit.

    1. Tmac goes in and out of the line up the year artest was here around november-january. People called him a diva and that he just goes in and out of the lineup as he pleases. This is false. (cant say what's going on in NY but dantoni is a dickk and he kept nate from playing for a while) If you watched that 30min press conference with the team doctor, youd know that tmac/medical staff tried different things to see if his knee could hold up for the rest of the season (ie. rest for two weeks or miss a game here or there). this was the suggestion from the team doctor, not tmac.

    2. Like ppl have said, you dont just have microfracture surgery to block a trade. tmac/the rockets/medical staff didnt want to have the surgery, that's why he tried many ways to NOT have the surgery (like trying the stuff i said in number 1). watch that presser, youll see that no one on either parties wanted the surgery. they wanted tmac to be on the court that season because we just got artest. tmac wanted the same.

towards the end of his contract, he just was nothing worth 23mil. no problem in admitting that but im not gonna hate on him because he had injuries. heck, ppl hated on alston for no good reason. sure he had crappy teardrops but he did his job night in and night out.

no one hates on yao. he plays too passive? no, he's just a finesse player right? that's BS. ppl hate on tmac because he doesnt 'take it to the rack' even though he's playing with lingering injuries. well yao is way passive in the post and gets beat by fronting defense. how come no one hates on yao for not 'taking it to the rack' center style? when playing, he doesnt even have injuries and he cant take it to the rack. there should be no excuses for him either.

Because he is Asian and no matter what he does, 99% of the Asian fans will support him.

Personally, I want him gone. I'm just too fed up with all the injuries.

Actually, he's doing about as well as I thought -- considering he was benched by his disgusted coach for the latter part of the season before he was shut down. That's just about how I figured he'd do.

I wouldn't hate him as much if he decides to retire his mouth instead. Maybe he needs to retire whoever it is that's giving him PR advice.

Even if I completely ignore the fact that saying all "Asians" think alike, this is still a completely r****ded post. If you really think the reason we hate T-Mac and don't hate Yao is because he's Asian, you're an idiot. The difference simply, is that while people may have problems with weaknesses with Yao's style of playing and his injuries, no one hates Yao as a person, even opposing fans. People here hate T-Mac as a person for really, really, obvious reasons.

Do you not remember last season when about half of the threads on the front page was how to deal with the fronting problem?

Couldn't agree more, i watched that 30 min doctor thing your on about and completely agree, however, alot of people on here won't want to watch that, because it goes against their theory, that he did as he pleased all season long, heck, in that interview the medical staff took quite a bit of blame on themselves for his situation

    no heart? really?

you must have not been a rockets fan during the 2005 playoffs when t-mac absolutely lit it up against the mavericks.

you also must not have been a rockets fan when t-mac played hurt in the 2007 and 2008 playoffs and still put up sick numbers.

    no heart? lol, wow...

it's comforting to have a "McGrady expects to return to allstar form" story every summer.

TOH are just too blind to see that T-Mac is actually a decent human being.

All the crap about how T-Mac should just retire is ridiculous. The guy still got game. He can definitely still start on a non-playoff team or be the 3rd option on a playoff team.

Please guys, enough with the "T-Mac had no heart" .
He did go out there every time in the playoffs and played his heart out. His team just wasn't good enough. He pulled up sick numbers, gave them a chance everyday. Even when Yao was out, he didn't give up! He tried. Though he failed every time....He tried. He never had a team like the one's that Kobe or LeBron had. Until last year, which unfortunately was not a good year health wise for t-mac. OH WELL! LETS MOVE ON!
