Yah, and McGrady himself kept trying to insist he was back. Pathetic. This guy is unbelievable.

Does this guy literally have to go to the media and say something every week? It's always something with this guy.

He sinks himself with his attitude and outlook. Hopefully he will do something and gain some mental toughness.

Where have u been? You think the hate is coming from the fact that he was injured? If that were the case, Yao would be gettin **** on as well.

    Come on.

hes retiring because no one is going to offer him more than the veteran salary, at about 2 million. id be shocked if anyone would offer him a mid level exception deal.

Lets sign him to a 10 day contract so he can retire as a Rocket. Then we can retire his number.

Our season is done and now its time for a small break to rest up before I get back to rehab and training. I’m going to work hard all summer getting ready for next year. I saw a report this morning that I was going to retire, and let me set record straight, I am not retiring. I’ve got more game in me, and you’ll see it on the court next year. Thanks to all my fans for all your support! Mac

    per his facebook

there must be 2-3 tracy mcgradys out there

If this happens I predict two things:

    1) TOHs and TOFs will not know what to do with themselves now that their boy is gone.

    2) Clutch Fans will still be flooded with useless McGrady threads for at least 1 year after his retirement. I personally think we'll continue gettin thread near or at the current pace for 2 year after the ghost of Tracy McGrady retires.

    *On topic*

Hell, if I made 23 million this year...I would retire too lol. Its time to sit pretty and drink fine wine.

The temptation to read a "McGrady says" thread is becoming all too difficult to avoid. Hopefully this one will become a reality and he'll go away.

He seems to be talking more than anything as usual. He wants more millions. If he is smart he would stop investing money in doctors because he'd know only he can improve his game. Knowing Tracy, he won't work for the money. It's something he won't do anymore.

He should just retire. No one will give him the money he wants which is around $5 million.
