He's going to follow the Iverson plan. Sign with a young team, too prideful to accept a backup role, then just go ahead and retire.
...tmac's character is actually destroying his options, slowly and surely...this guys needs therapy..seriously
this city doesn't want him? i guarantee you there's more t-mac fans in houston than any other player on the rockets barring yao ming you are ****ing crazy for thinking that, are you a drug user? MARK-MY-WORDS T-mac to the rack is a reality and has been the plan all along, we were just waiting for yao's wussy foot to heal. Don't blame T-Fierce, blame yao. With him, TMAC wouldn't have left and would have carried this team to the finals, year after year. Its ok though, we'll get our chance next year when he returns in top form.
THIS CITY LOVES T-MAC, why do you think there's so many threads about him even on a moderatey rockets-knowledgable forum as clutchfans. that doesn't include all the fans who aren't as hardcore and just remember watching the 13 in 33 and making shawn bradley eat his sack. and i don't touch drugs, the only drug I need is god.
significant to you or significant in tmac terms. Regardless, money talks and he has plenty of it. He'll take a definite paycut, but he still wants to be in the NBA. He loves watching himself in those Adidas commercials, you know that latest one with Rose and the rest of the crew slashing and dunking and then the camera briefly pans to Tmac dribbling....
Tim Grover totally put his reputation on the line for this guy and I am a firm believer that the trade might not have happened if he would not have sold McGrady to the Knicks as being 100%. Why is he not getting burned for this? Will this affect his elite status when the future superstars like Durant and Roy think about trainers they want to associate themselves with when they are rehabing... and need the world to know they are still elite???
I don't think the knicks cared if mcgrady was 100% or 10%. The knicks only wanted his expiring contract.
To be honest, this news is somewhat relevant. The career of a former NBA great is on the line and you want to be sarcastic towards the OP? And to all you smart-asses who are going to make the comment that "his career was over a long time ago" he is still in the NBA, and doing better than we thought he would be.
Technically, not really sure you can say he's in the NBA since he's a free agent. Is there some sort of process the player goes through to be a free agent or become inelligible for a contract?
i was saying we should look to trade him for like 2 years now. it was obvious that his injuries were taking over, and i was worried that he would retire before the rockets could get something in return. luckily we got a lot for him at the last minute.
