So we got 2 Ron Artests in the deal? That's even better! :D

Nah, just playing with you. I'm sure you meant Battier.

That, my friends, is a scary big line-up.

We are getting Ron Artest, which is tremendous and people here are posting about Tmac reaction being generic. Who gives a damn about whether its generic or not, lets hope this trade comes through.
I remember Morey saying he had a minor trade to do, this Artest trade is major, Morey deserves alot of props for this one.

Chronicle Reports Artest To Rockets; Rafer Alston Estatic

    POSTED: 7:41 pm CDT July 29, 2008
    UPDATED: 9:57 pm CDT July 29, 2008

HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Houston Chronicle Rockets Beat writer Jonathon Feigen reports Tuesday night that the Rockets have worked a trade to land forward Ron Artest from the Sacramento Kings. According to the report, the Rockets will send guard Bobby Jackson, a first round pick next season and this year's first round pick Donte' Green.

KPRC Local 2 Sports has left messages with Rockets GM Daryl Morey but they have not been returned.

"This is an unbelievable move for the Rockets," Guard Rafer Alston told KPRC Local 2 Sports Tuesday night.

"He's a great friend of mine, we grew up playing against each other and we're both from Queens. This move no doubt makes us a perrenial contender not only in the Western Conference but the entire NBA," Alson said in an interview with KPRC Local 2 Sports.

" I'll tell you what, I'm ready to practice right now! I can't wait and to get it going with our team and now that we have Ron," said Alston.

Efforts to reach Tracy McGrady were made while he was on family trip to Sea World in San Antonio.

A league source did confirm with KPRC Local 2, that the deal will not be announced until August 14th because of contract restrictions. Morey will comment, likely through a conference call at that time from Beijing where he is scheduled to leave for China on August 10 to attend the Olympics and watch Yao and Team USA in tournament play.

Artest damn near stop the 22 game winning streak by himself. Abusing Chuck, Tmac, Battier, and Landry. Thank u Novak because you're a goner. We need your money and Landry's to pay Artest his loot.

Artest gives the Rockets sooooo... many options!!!

He can team up with Battier to give defensive Heck to opposing teams.

He is the 3rd scoring option.

He can legitimately sub for McGrady without the Rockets losing a step.

He can play Shooting guard, Small Forward, and Power Forward.

He was a defensive player of a year.

He is a prolific all around player.

He is still only 29 years old.

By the way, is Landry still weighing his options? Because me thinks that he might not be as necessary as his agent told him he was for the Rockets. He should have done the Knee scope.

    It's different this time.

The other times, it was like being given Hondas. It's cool, you love it, but then a Bentley(Artest) is given to you. You are excited all over again, but those Hondas now look bad. Swift and Francis were the Hondas. Just because he got a Bentley and is excited, doesn't mean his new feelings are fake and meaningless.

That he and Yao really need? ITS WHAT THE TEAM REALLY NEEDS .. I really hope he changes his attitude and realize its a team sport, that its not only being a team player by passing the ball, being a team player is about emotionally being there for your team, something that this fool does not seem to understand. Dont be a jack a** and be the team player you need to be like KG did with the celtics.
