I do... SIKE!!! You are correct Chad is stating the obvious and for everyone sayin the percentages are screwed up I think he's really just adding everything in the mix. First his terrible contract along with his terrible play don't help the situation, including injuries. His trade value is low yes, but not as low as some may think, people in the league do know what he is capable of and more than likely contemplate wether they feel like takin a major risk on him. Also you have to think of the crappy deals I'm pretty sure Morey has to deal with. And we all know we still want to stay in contention for 2010 so they have to balance that with the possible talent that may be brought in. We will see.... Personally I don't think he'll go anywhere til 2010 and that'll be out da door.
Sadly, there is not much you could get for T-Mac right now. Even though Artest has been injured nearly as often this season, his overall body of work is still "healthier" and less fragile than McGrady's. Oh well, at least we are guaranteed to get Lebron in 2010.
Hyundai has the Car of the Year....http://money.cnn.com/2009/01/08/autos/2009_car_of_the_year/index.htm?postversion=2009011110 So, your analogy....just like you....suck.
Just because it's on ESPN, doesn't mean it's legit. I could have told you there's a 5% chance of anybody anywhere getting traded. Hi, my name is Chad Ford, please pay attention to me!
5% chance of trade? You can say that for the 80% NBA players, but the majority of them will not be traded anyhow. What a stupid calculation based on a brainless thinking, which should never be printed out in a public site.
It's funny how people are all over this 5% and give it high rating, but back when I reported an ESPN mention of "Rockets open to trade Tmac", many wouldn't even want to believe the validity of it. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=159239&highlight=trade
I'm going to laugh when you all jump back on Tmac's bandwagon when he gets back in shape and starts playing like he has in the past. Remember, his numbers in the playoffs are always better than the regular season. Look up his playoffs stats. He is comparable to anyone who has ever played the game when it comes to his playoff numbers. Sorry. Had to say that before a T-maniac came in here foaming at the mouth over all this "McGrady hate" and posted up some 2003-2005 highlight clips so we could see what McGrady did 5-6 years ago. I don't care what management does with him because I think there are too many holes to fill this season for this team to reach contender status. Unless Morey can somehow trade one of the swingmen for a borderline All Star PG and that ain't happening.
5% now, but once the season is over and T-Mac becomes an expiring, more like 95% chance they can find somebody to trade with. Thing is, trading T-Mac before he expires means we don't have high hopes for the FA market in 2010.
We're not getting anything for T-mac. Not a good player, not cap space for next year, NOTHING. We have to ride out the storm and wait for his contract to expire. Then we can go after Joe Johnson, D-Wade, hell even LeBron. Or we can wait one more season and go for Durant.
Because he works for ESPN. If you work for ESPN every piece you write must have at least one mention of T-Mac, Kobe, Dwight, or Lebron. They'd be fired otherwise.
You are assuming he actually wants to be in Houston. If he doesn't want to play there anymore, then there is very little motivating that can be done. However, given the circumstances, I say Miami would take McGrady for Marion. They would just keep McGrady for next season, then let the contract expire so they can sign Wade to a super max contract. Also, in a week Eastern Conference, if McGrady gets healthy, they could make a nice little run.
A Vince Carter trade won't happen because Feigen said on the radio today that Les told him the Rockets would be players during the free agent summer of love in 2010.
exactly what i was gonna post. starting this summer, up until next years deadline, tmac will be one of the most desirable contracts in the league.
