    Eddie House, defense?

...anyway, this is one of the things i've been waiting to see all year. It would be even funnier to see the Knicks make the playoffs and play the Celtics in the first round.

I hope Marbury's cancerous presence will grow nicely in Boston. :D

Danny Ainge has come full circle. He made the trade that catapulted the Celts into a championship team. the Marbury addition will have the opposite effect (of KG and Ray Allen). i am predicting that the Celts will not reach this year's Finals.

That's not really a huge prediction. Last year it was almost a given and they still barely snuck through past a few teams...this year the Cavs are improved.

If Marbury can behave he can give them scoring off the bench, something they really lack. Don't sleep on this move....

Well put a lid on the Celtic run. If Marbury signs with the Celtics, no way the Celtics repeat as NBA champs.

Pencil in Cavs, Lakers, Spurs, or Rockets( ;) , as the champs this season.

I have a hard time seeing Marbury placing aside his ego to take non-guaranteed minutes in Boston. Although, this move does have plenty of potential to work out provided he's okay with spot minutes or whatever Rivers plans to give him. Expect him to be kept on a short leash and ostracized at the first sign of trouble.

The biggest question here is: can you depend on him?

Karl Malone effect? Remember when Karla was about to sign with the Spurs a couple years back before he officially canceled his Ring Prostitution Tour? My first reaction, "Well, it looks like the Spurs won't be winning anything this year!" :p

What the hell are the Celtics thinking??? Is KG really that eager to reunite with Marbury? Terrible decision.

Dude Stephon Marbury is going to help them, unless he gets cocky and wants to take over the starting PG position, but Celtics have some tough in your face guys, in Paul Pierce and especially Kevin Garnett, they aren't nice guys that will stay quiet, I see them as telling Marbury, "If you want a championship play your role, if coach thinks your better than you will get that position" Simple, Stephon Marbury cannot break what the celtics have. That is hard to do.

hustle on defense? The only reason House is on the court is to shoot the basketball, and he is great at it. Marbury won't get too many minutes unless there is some injury.

I don't want it to work, but I have a feeling its going to be fine for the Celtics.

I think that we too will have a problem, playing TMac and/or trading him just like NY had with Marbury. Unless we want to take on bad player(s) with bad contract(s), TMac's home will be with us. But I do think TMac will also be bought out or watching the team from home next year.

    agreed.

the celts are not doing too well lately. maybe that's part of the reason.

if they indeed sign him, i'd look forward to hear reports like "locker room issues emerge in beantown"...
