since everybody chooses to attack me and call me a hypocrite. why isn't anybody criticizing what davids said, he said some stereotypes are true to a point. and i basically said not all stereotypes are true and that many are based on ignorance. and did i say all stereotypes are racist? did you even read some of the examples of when people stereotyped me and i didn't get mad? so how am i oversensitive? looks like people here are oversensitive and didn't like my sarcastic if you're a cracker song. if you're cracker, just clap your hands and stop trying to find any little flaw in my argument to debate with me when i already said this topic is annoying because its redundant. my point in posting in this thread is to urge people not to think everybody who talks about racial concerns is oversensitive and how the media does have an impact in how certain people think.
Ching chong wing wong chinese have little ding dong. Hong kong ping pong lee dee wee wee. Ching chao yin pao ming. Ling dao sing sao ring mao loo tau. Im sure you are carrying a camera with you since most of you do that, so take a picture of the laundry mat you own and send it to me.
stereotype-racism is cause-effect if i remember right that was what i said and it is true to a certain extent. but did i say all stereotypes are racist? no, just that there are a lot of false perceptions that the media perceives as truth and those stereotypes are the ones that are truely racially biased. if asians were all midgets as the media portrays it as, how is that the chinese basketball association has so many 7 footers? if people assume certain people are spies when they're not, is this fair? no. if you can actually back up stereotypes with facts, i don't see how it can be racist. oh yeah, since you want to use that little ding dong joke, did you know that certain media publications dissed middle eastern men by saying how government agents who captured certain terrorist suspects would embarrass them by having them reveal their private parts to a female agent to embarrass their little ding dongs. if you really want to talk about false stereotypes, you must want to see some naked photos of asian men's ding dongs to prove you wrong. see queencheetah's definition.
LOL!!! That was a good one. Although, I'm not in Houston, I am getting a little "round" in the middle...
Your a racist, a very redundant, oversensitive one at that. Clap your hands if your a cracker...shut the F**k up aladdin? You have no class and are now the first person to land on my ignore list. I'm sure every Chinese poster on this board is embarrassed by your judgemental blanket comments. You were easily baited into showing your true opinions...look in the mirror racist.
LOL, its cool, i dished out a low blow to him because he came at me. The only difference is that I have fun with it while he gets riled up about it. If he's gonna dish it out like that, he better be able to take it too.
idiot, if you choose to take my words out of its context, then that's your choice. but my words were clearly sarcastic. dumbass. i even said they were sarcastic example of how something that sounds like a song can be offensive. if you want to use something as childish as ching chong wing wong and teach an impressionable and ignorant kid something like that. i could easily give you a taste of your own medicine and sing the cracka song. but do i do that? no, cause i consider that offensive.
i wonder why they call you junior member? is that a description of your penis or something? i'm not getting riled up at all. i tried to end this discussion amicably a long time ago, but some people thought i was reacting to the comments in the espn article. when i was really speaking of the media overall and stereotypes and how some of them are false. and how you shouldn't react to every single person who shows concerns about these subjects as oversensitive. but you know you're not the only one who is tired of seeing people post these dumb topics. especially since its essentially the same thing over and over. it gets redundant.
So far, I can only find it for koreans, but, the average height of a male korean is 67.9 inches. http://www.korea.net/learnaboutkorea/geography/peo_rel.html The average height of a white male is 69.7 inches. http://www.halls.md/chart/men-height-w.htm I will find the other links too. This will show that asians are, on average, shorter than caucasians. Therefore, it is not a stereotype, by your definition, to say that asians are shorter than whites.
And if you actually want to talk penis size, I will give you links to multiple web pages that surveyed thousands of males. The avergage asian penis is smaller than the average white penis, which in turn, is smaller than the average black penis. The fact that you turned the discussion into this is sick.
ahole, shorter doesn't mean you're a midget and that's the real stereotype. also if you really want to play a game of stereotyping, i can also point out a link that said caucasians and europeans on average can't jump as high and are not as athletic as chinese. but do i go and post that and use that as some kind test of racial superiority or something. that's just stupid.
I'm sure he "takes it" all the time... Rez, your post no doubt was a simple example of his foolish commentary on racism and sterotypes. I tried as well to give him an out with some humor, but the guy just doesn't have a clue.
Who in the world ever said that asians are midgets? The stereotype is that they are shorter. Thats all. And its true. Secondly, yes, I would like you to show me documents that show that asians are more athletic than caucasians.
go to nba draft, international, or whatever forum and it says that asians are more athletic than slow caucasians or whatever. but do i go believing in that stereotype? no. also if you've read a recent basketball book, one si writer said china was a nation of midgets. not that on average, whoever is taller. also i was never part of that survey. later on, that same writer, even said that other regions besides the hk portion of china are taller on average than hk.
Because many stereotypes are true. But not all. And not 100% true (when talking about ALL people). And they become less "true" as time goes on, especially in America. So, to say that ALL stereotypes are 100% inaccurate and are not based on ANY factual information, is wrong too. Some sterotyoeps are true, but the key is not to get too riled up about them. Saying, "not all sterotyopes are true..." is the same thing as saying, "some stereotypes are true to a point..." They are just at the other ends of the spectrum. They overlap each other. Well, you weren't as "oversensitive" when I was talking to you at first. But rezdawg riled you up, and you took the bait. Basically he proved how sensitive you can be and how you can jump to conclusions. And he's Iranian!. Not white! As far as the "cracker song." Well, that showed me that you were being childish. You were repeating that song in hope that you would "hurt someone back" or "let them taste their own medicine." But that backfired because no one was "hurt" by your "cracker song." It just made you look like you were doing reverse discrimination and trying to "get back" at people that discriminated against you. That's where the cycle of "hate" can happen. If a white person treated you bad as a kid, you feel that it's your right to "lash back at them" in racial remarks. It just makes you look silly. It's like if a KKK member came onto this board and started singing a song, "Jews must die, jews must die..." Most people would just ignore him, or think he was a idiot. I don't disagree with you there. But it's how you react that is important. Don't overreact, and don't be so fast to accuse people of being "racist" for satirical reason, humor or just plain poking fun. Learn to have a sense of humor yourself. You'll be able to get along with different people better.
By the way, there's a Korean Comedian on CSPAN right now (Henry Cho). He was talking about racial humor. It was hillarious! He has a strong southern accent.
Or you can check out the actual results for every track and field olympic event. Those numbers are facts. You will notice a trend that has the USA and the top of almost every category. The stats dont lie. And most stereotypes dont either.
didn't i already say some stereotypes are true to a point and some are just made out of false perceptions? and didn't i already make it clear that the cracker song was just a creative way of showing some sarcasm and how you might not like a song like that being taught to little kids that could be used on your children as a taste of your own medicine. i'm not asking how you would react? cause most adults do not find nursery rhymes offensive. cause i personally don't find chinese or foreigner offensive, but why is it white people who go to china find the word foreigner offensive and insist on telling people that's racism and overly suspicious of that word when it just has a simple meaning and has no offensive connotations? why is it they insist on twisting the definition to what their own imagination is coming up with? and why is it television networks actually devote time to be sensitive to tourists concerns about them being called foreigner. like hey, this is my foreign friend. i'm not blaming all racism on white people ok. there are lot of people who discriminate. what i think has happened is that some of my sarcasm was misunderstood. and some of it was used to bait rezdawg into showing caucasian colors.
