he's just pissed off his TMac predictions were wrong. I remember when the rumors started hitting the floor that TMac was going to Houston, Ford, thinking he knows everything said theres no way TMac is going to Houston yada yada yada He's just bitter.
I honestly think this was win-win. I've thought that all along. I hate Weisbrod, he handled the trade horribly... but I must say he's correct in saying the Magic weren't going anywhere with McGrady and a bunch off gutter trash watching him iso all game. People need to just get over this trade. Let's just see how they play. ...and it's still beyond comprehension to me why Chad Ford is still there and Aldridge isn't...
Yeah. It only says that Steve seems determined to prove that the Magic got the better end of the deal. Definitely a misleading title.
This GM is certainly different. has an ego as big as Disney World As HC as GM will make the most seasoned politicians blush but he plans well such as saving the Coach for the next round He might even get lucky, bringing Magic deep in the playoff and give Ford a chance to...
The Magic will be a very good team. I was and am still in the minority when it comes to this deal. I think we gave up too much!
LOL. What do you mean by "very good"? Barely making the playoffs in the East isn't that great...do you think they're going to the East Finals?
Seriously...don't you think that showed a hockey/warrior mentality? Francis elbowing Amare in the chest was like Jordan dropping 60 in the playoffs. Also, Ford called Turky-glue tough, so that must mean he is a really hard-nosed terror on defense, setting picks, and with a "tough" clutch shot. I see him as the division Shaq-stopper.
I hope Orlando doesn't turn into the LA Clippers. I'm starting to feel bad for Francis and Cuttino getting stuck there with Weisbrod's enormous ego. Steve may be stubborn, but he always worked hard and wanted to do the right thing.
You know, I totally forgot about this future matchup: Yao vs Cato/DeClerq Oh man, the season needs to start already.
Did he say 'killer instinct' ?? Has he ever WATCHED SF or Cato play? Mobley is the only one of the three who could possibly develop that killer instinct he is talking about. Last year, the Rockets with SF were the antithesis of killer instinct - they could hardly ever close out a close game. Granted, they showed SOME improvement, but to use the phrase 'killer instinct' just shows that whoever said it doesn't know what it means.
Cat was the only one capable of a "killer instinct." He really got up games playing against Kobe. And he didn't just play offense, but defense too. He took it as a personal challenge to try and out perform whomever he was playing against. Whatever you do, not talk trash to Cat. He'll scratch you! Regarding the thread....Did the Magic got the "better" end of the deal? Nope. Buy they did get a good deal on the first round pick: Dwight Howard. But that's another story to be told.
