Rockets PG problem roots from JVG's system. Look how Utah's
system works. Both starter and backup PG injured. Sloan find McLeod from
nowhere to insert into the lineup. He is playing like an all star.

If Seattle just lets James and Potepenko expire, and they leave, Seattle won't have any players. They'll just get some useless cap space - it won't help them chase anyone because they will still be over when Ray Allen resigns. They are better off trading for someone like Howard or Taylor. Then they will have bodies that can perform when Fortson inevitably goes down or meets a bad matchup.

If you plug either Howard or Taylor in the lineup they can run and score pretty well, and are better off.

    Ridnour Murry
    Allen
    Lewis/Evans
    Taylor/Collison
    Swift/Fortson

That's a better line up. They're even better off if they pick up JJ or Boki, too.

I'd deal Taylor or Howard, plus JJ and Boki for James and Potepenko, and the TE for AD and Radman. Mix in Gaines or Lue as necessary.

    Both teams benefit.

We chase a real 4 in the summer with the MCE. Throw it at Swift, Wilcox or that kid in Washington.

AD with 19 pts, 5 Asst, 3 rebs, 1 TO on 8-9 shooting, 2-3 3s, 1-3 Fts in 28 minutes tonight against Philly. AD needs to slow down before he prices himself above what Houston can offer!!!

    good point.

AD if you are out there...if you want to play for the rockets and win a championship, stop playing well before your market value raises to the point where you will be offered the full MLE this summer by every team except for us :(

After tonight's game, I hope CD is calling Seattle ASAP and working anyway to get him.

I hope he is calling to let the Sonics know he is interested in acquiring AD, but at this point there is currently nothing on our roster that Seattle would want that we would want to give up (T-Mac and Yao). Seattle is doing too well right now, and CD would have to overpay to get AD. Wait until after Sura gets back to make sure you need to do that trade to AD. Its premature to trade for a PG right now. But I feel the pain in watching the Rockets lose to a bad Atlanta team.

knowing how CD messes up first rounders anyways, I think Daniels for a first rounder is a steal...

Ya, there is no way Seattle trades now that their team is good. We'll need to wait until their team reverts to their expected self and they consider the season lost or we have to wait until offseason to get AD. I believe the trade deadline is around Feb 21st so there is lots of time for Seattle start sucking again but right now they are playing awesome.

The more I see Ward play the more I am longing for Daniels. I mean the ONLY thing we can hope for with Ward is to have someone that can take care of the ball and hit the 3ptr. If he isnt doing that (like last night in Atlanta), he is worthless. Sura coming back will help some but I really feel we have to upgrade the PG spot sooner or later.

I dont see ANY way we get Daniels the way the Sonics are playing and the way he is playing. :(

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but seattle will not trade AD for anything we have to offer. Ridnour may be their future but AD is their now. He is clearly the better player now and they will not trade him to the Rockets for anything we have to offer. They have won 7 games in a row and Allen Daniels and Lewis are the reason along with Fortson's rebounding.

Why would they do a trade that would make them worse. That's right not one person has made a trade idea that would benefit them. So to think we will get AD from them is a pipedream and nothing less.

Agreed! Our chance at getting Daniels was this summer and at that time it looks like we werent willing to give up a 1st rounder for him. And by the time we WERE willing to part with that 1st rounder, it was too late as Daniels was showing his true worth with the Sonics right now. No way do the Sonics give up Daniels for anything we have. The only chance we have at getting him is if the team starts to crumble by the All Star break.
