We would do nothing and give them a pass, because they had just dragged us to the WCF's.

Jordan didn't get a championship until he was almost 30. Lebron is only 24. He's still got time, before he ends up as T-mac instead of Jordan.

It is Amare or bust for Cleveland next season as far as keeping Lebron is concerned. The guy is easily the best player in the league, not a single other player can do for his team as much as Lebron does for the Cavs. He is a genetic freak in every sense of the word, the most unique player perhaps in league history. Alas, in a team game, that is never enough. His teammates all but disappeared/were taken out by the Magic in the series, and Mike Brown's idea of an offensive game plan was to put the ball into Lebron's hands and ask him to work magic -- literally, and he did at least a couple of times.

This is still a league of superstars. Solid role players will help you get there, but superstars are what put you over the top. At the end of the day, Orlando had more 'star power' offensively than Cleveland did, and they were well equipped to whether Lebron's historic brilliance.

Memo to Cleveland: get Lebron a legit all-star, not a Cuttino Mobley clone (Mo Williams)

The Magic just had the Cavs number this year -- Lakers will blow the Magic out.

Who cares if Lebron skipped talking with the reporters.

i am disappointed that i didn't get to see his post game presser.

i'm sure he didnt want to answer questions about his future in cleveland, and the quality of his teammates... things he's been doing for 2 years now. still, i would've really liked to see him answer those questions last night.

the problem is there is no penalty coming for this. if anyone else skips out on the media it's an automatic fine.

I always thought Cleveland's numbers were a bit inflated this year. Not to take anything away from them, they had a great season (until they fell flat on their face against the Magic).

But if you watched any of their regular season games, or should I say, when I watched, they often seemed to be getting a little bit of help, at least, when they played at home. The networks loved talking up that awesome home record.

And yet, on Christmas Day, Washington was leading at Cleveland by about 8 points going into the home stretch when, all of a sudden, the refs start getting whistle-happy against the Wiz. I remember posters here talking about the choke job put up by the Wizards but really, such a team has to play nearly-perfectly to beat the Cavs, at Cleveland, on Christmas. Knock them off their stride a bit and they lost.

When Houston went to Cleveland, the refs took Yao out of the game very early. He didn't really get it going until the 4th, when he was actually allowed to stay in the game, but by then, it was too late.

People are really big on "excuses are for losers". All I'm saying is, Every year, the league has a "darling" or two. Last year it was Boston. The Celtics got away with EVERYTHING. This season it was Cleveland. ESPN and the marketing machine need to sell the league. Meanwhile, David Stern gives his best smirking-Sphynx impersonation and says it's all on the up-and-up.

Cleveland ran into a buzzsaw against Orlando. They just didn't get it done, you can't throw LeBron 1-on-5 out there against a solid team and expect to win it all. Not even Joey Crawford can save you from that fate.

i hope to god that this ends any talk about Mo Williams being a capable 2nd Banana. He's a good player, make no mistake about it, but he's not THAT GUY that can be James' sidekick. He's like he Jason Terry of the East--short shooting guard that can shoot and runs his mouth but rarely shows up in big crucial games.

As for James, I feel bad for the guy in that he really thought his team had a chance to win it all this year. Even with the best record in the NBA, there were never really any moments during the regular season where I would say "wow, these guys are legit". Maybe that's because he has one of the most overrated coaches in the history of the NBA on his bench.

he's already better than tracy, individual accomplishments AND team accomplishments. hell, lebron is already a lot better than most of the top players today in those aspects.

Understandable. I wouldn't be in the mood of talking to anyone either. How does this make me go down a peg or whatever in someones eyes is beyond me.

I feel bad for LeBron's teammates. They can't do nothing right.

Everytime they win, it is all about LeBron, everytime they lose, it is because his teammates suck.

Hey, LeBron has been in the league for 6 years, he never won 66 games before until he get some help. Yet again, when Cavs lose, all ppl talk about is how crappy the Cavs supporting cast is and how bad Cavs is without LeBron.

I could have sworn LeBron left the court without speaking to any Celtics players last year but there was no peep about it. Maybe I am wrong though.

Exactly, these are the same media raving for his making teammates better, and that's how MVP is defined nowadays. Now they're back to "not enough support". I mean, LBJ can't fault.

I think Rafer brought them Rockets secret defense. They totally shut everyone down and let Lebron chucking away.

I remember the Houston chronicle writng an article about Daniel Gibson being his Pippen or sidekick or something like that. I think it was the year the Cavs went to the finals. FAIL

The Cavs not getting to the finals and winning it creates about a 99.9% chance the LeBron bolts Cleveland and most likely joins the Knicks in 2010.

why on Earth would Lebron go to NY or The Brooklyn Nets for that matter. I mean he is complaining about no help now, then imagine those two sorry teams. What money and expossure, it won't be bigger then it already is for him.

If he really wants to win now then he should seriously consider somebody like The Rockets who are one step away and within reach of championship glory for years to come. ;)

Lebron is the biggest ball stopper in NBA history. He turns everyone around him into a spot up shooter, his 'Pippen' is going to have to be someone who plays off-ball. The best players I could think of that fit the bill are Ray Allen (Cavs pursued him during 2005 I believe) and Richard Hamilton.

If a team that won 66 games in the regular season and swept the first two round of the playoffs with double digits every game did not help him win, I don't know what NY can offer.

I wouldn't say LeBron "dragged" Cleveland to the conference finals. He didn't win all those playoffs games by double digits all by himself, did he?

Way to show some Class LeBrick

He didn't even congratulate the Magic on their win....

He would have if they had won.... he can't handle the pressure if they lose..

He wanted to go wha-wha with his mama in the hotel according to Craig Sager.
