Just shows you great players usually aren't very good at coaching.

What did Gar Forman of the Bulls do to earpretty votes? His team is pretty much the same team as last year's version.

And since when does DaDakota have a vote for Exec of the Year, with the sole Mitch Kupchak vote for landing Jordan Hill,

(which by extension was Odom for Hill)

Bird most cerebral basketball player alive. Lot of great players not necessary good coaches because they can't relate to 'lesser players' (i.e Gretzky , Jordan) Bird however can think from many different perspectives.

Another person to think about in this is ... Jerry West (average coach, fantastic GM). Danny Ainge (Did not think he was a bad coach as some advertised, and has become a well-respected GM).

Ainge wasn't an MVP player though.

Lenny Wilkins was the best player not named Larry Bird to win the NBA coach of the year award

This topic is about GM's, not just coaches.

I never knew that, but he did go through all 3 stages and has done fairly well at each one.

Bird the only person to ever win ROY, MVP, Final's MVP, COY, Exec of Year and the pleasure of firing Isiah Thomas.

The rest of the list after Bird and R.C. is so ridiculous it's almost unbelievable.

Seriously, Gar Forman? Grunwald? Rick Sund? Otis Smith???

Then you have the Nuggets Masai Ujiri below all those?

Kahn should be higher on the list(WTH did I just say? Kahn, higher on the list??)
    Ujiri should definitely be higher.

Some of the voters need their heads checked.
