LOL, and Bynum was shooting 4-13 before benched for the 2nd half. And Gasol played better when Bynum wasn't there. Ideally you want to have your centers shoot 80 times at 60%, but they just can't get that many shots off in the paint. That's just plain stupid.
And ideally, what about your SG's fg%? If you haven't noticed, Bynum's emergence has allowed Kobe to face so many single coverages for a superstar it's not even funny. Yet, he still can't manage to shoot >45% consistently. And he faced some scrub defenders last night. At least Bynum had double/triple teams to excuse for his poor shooting. He's still shooting 58% for the year.
Kobe's playing with a broken wrist and two bigs that are clogging the lane. And before Sessions, he also got 2 perimeter players that couldn't shoot 3. And to date Kobe still gets more double team than LeBron when he catches the ball. It's not even funny. Although Kobe wasn't as efficient as he used to be, he's still as efficient as any year of TMac in Houston. Now this is funny from a diehard TMac fan.
1) Kobe's highest fg% in his CAREER is 46.7%. This is part of his decline. It's not b/c of the bigs clogging the lane. When Shaq left, he still couldn't shoot anywhere near 50%. He has 2 players who can't shoot 3s, and yet he's shooting 28% himself, jacking up 5 3s a game. 2) Your comment about Lebron is so untrue I'm not going to respond. There's no REASON to compare Kobe of 11-12 to Lebron of 11-12. They're not in the same league. Kevin Durant is now LBJ's competition. It seems like you're one the very few who still think Kobe is in the top 5 players in this league. 3) Outside of TMAC's first season as a Rocket, he was never efficient. I admitted that many times. That wasn't one of the reasons why I liked the guy; but when he sucks shooting the ball, at least he knew how to pass. And his inefficiency was due to his DECLINE due to injuries. Kobe is declining. Accept it and move on. And that's why they're not getting past the 2nd round. With Phil Jackson, he could reign him in when necessary and thus allows the Lakers to play team ball for the most part of the game. This year's Kobe won't lead a team to a championship if he doesn't understand he's no longer the kobe of old. His efficient games are far and few in between. He needs to decrease those types of games, and increase his other aspects of the game.
When the Lakers play well, it's a playoff preview of a WCF matchup with the Spurs. But games like this and getting handled by the Grizzlies is horsing around and boredom. I get it.
I agree LeChoke is not in the same league as Kobe until he won a ring of his own, and riding coattail shouldn't count. And Kobe's still as efficient as TMac in his first season in Houston, in case you don't know.
So you're admitting Kobe isn't a top 5 player then. TMAC in 04-05 was 3rd team all-nba. Then stop comparing Kobe to Lebron PLEASE.
Are you saying that in the 04-05 season, when the Lakers missed the playoffs, Kobe was not one of the top players in the league?
