Your posts reek of the fact that you've never seen a laker game this season but your giving your 2 cents. Your statistics are ridiculous, tracy mcgrady shoots 43 percent so does luther head, I guess luther head should have the same amount of volume for shooting.

if kobe asks to be traded you better believe that the lakers will want young players, capspace, and picks.

too bad those usually come from bad teams. kobe will only agree to play for a contending team.

chicago has everything to make it happen. the lakers would love to pick up a couple of their young talents and kobe would love a contender. esp one that jordan played for.

Do the Cleveland Cavaliers have more talent than the Lakers? LeBron has managed to take a bunch of pretty mediocre players to the Eastern Conference Finals. Yeah, it's the East, but he still is doing much better than Kobe.

Those idiots should never have traded Caron Butler and Chuck Atkins for Kwame f'n Brown, especially after already drafting Bynum and Turiaf (the latter over Monta Ellis), and having Mihm.

    They got what they deserved.

That whole thing got me so worked up I went on a Lakers forum and blasted them over it. Caron Butler is exactly the type of player that can excel with Kobe. On the other hand, Atkins talked his way out of LA; I won't bother with details but he HAD to go. And I ripped the Lakers for getting Kwame, who will never amount to much of anything. He doesn't have the skills or dedication to be much more than he is now.

But if Lakers could do that, I'd like to take it!

T-Mac is far better at making teammates better. I won't trade him for Kobe. Imagine Kobe being the only playmaker on the team. Trying to make guys like Head and Rafer better. He's gonna stop trusting Yao when he starts to get stripped, Rafer when he bricks a layup all by himself, Head after he airballs his only attempt, Hayes when he misses a catch wide open underneath the basket, Juwan when he bricks a wide-open gimme hoop, Vspan when he commits a turnover, Lucas when he goes to the rim 1 on 5 with 22secs on the shot clock.

I would trade for Kobe in a Heartbeat. We need a dominant scorer, not a playmaker. We can leave the play making to whoever we bringin at the point. Unless T-mac rediscovers his first step or aggressiveness to the hoop, I'm all for Kobe. Kobe also knows how to play with a big man, remember shaq? LO is just not a good fit on the Laker's squad, its that plain and simple.

The irony is priceless. I don't feel the least bit of sympathy for Bryant. After all, not everyone has the world calling by his first name, with most of them breathlessly in awe of his wonderfulness. Bryant got what he wanted... all of the attention. He's discovered that it's not all it's cracked up to be. You also need a team to go along with your ego.

Doesn't really matter, because kobe has already came out saying that's not what he said at all.

Funny. Last night while watching the Cavs game, I thought to myself that at 22 Lebron has already shown more team-effort and leadership than Kobe ever will in his entire career.

I could never root for Kobe, even if he joined the Rockets. It doesn't matter if you're the greatest guy on the court (which he isn't) if you're a total a-hole in your regular life.

The story of his career: acting arrogant and then backtracking to act like a humble guy. Seriously, how many times do we have to see this act?

Kobe would have had more rings if he was a better teammate.

Shaq, and even other guys like Fisher and Horry, were rejuvenated in other environments. Miami showed last year how much better you can be if everyone plays on the same page and goes to the limit around your stars. The last 2 years of the Shaq-Kobe Lakers squads failed because of this--not a common 100% committed mission, even the guru Phil could stop it.

Kobe is a great talent, maybe the most individual skills in the league, but isn't a leader a men. Not at the Lebron level, not at the Wade level.

Not that Tmac can talk much about results in the playoffs as THE guy either, sorry to say. (and Tmac played in the East a number of years, poking a hole in the theory it is just because they play in the West).

If you weigh skills AND leadership Lebron and Wade are the closest players to Jordan since Jordan. Kobe and Tmac are failling in the latter, sorry to say on one (Tmacs) account.
