None of that is relevant to relegation which is what YOU are talking about. No team is going to get a monopoly BECAUSE they'll be relegated if they stink.
Relegation and monopoly/parity is completely un-related, I don't know why you are putting them together. I'm not champion-ing euro football way, or relegation. But it's pretty dumb that after the trade deadline a little less than half of the NBA will have nothing to do but wait to die and even worse, tank their way to the next season.
i mean, teams tanking does really cheapen the game, particularly with the NBA's "i love this game" "we love our fans" "the NBA cares" attitude, it reflects poorly on the Association and cheats the fans (except for those fans waiting patiently for kevin durant, i guess). Instead of a lottery that rewards the WORST team with the most ping pong balls, i think they should still have a lottery, but give EACH LOTTERY TEAM an equal chance of getting the first pick. That way, the interest of parity is still served (the worst 13 teams get the best 13 draft picks) and means nobody will tank because they wouldn't have an incentive to. Every team would just work towards the playoffs. seems like that makes sense.
He should learn how to make our bench get involveed the game when Yao and T Mac are out.Give Span minitues.
