I think more than anything it could be a coming out party for Daniels (well...he had a good year last season, so maybe not a coming out party). Owen seems to be Schaub's second favorite receiver, and the guy has freaking glue on his hands or something. If the Colts bring a lot of blitzes, then it may be Owen over the middle all day long.
Haters and skaters. Terrible news that AJ is going to be out. But it's not like the Titans kept it close last week because they had a Pro Bowl WR playing. So all is NOT lost. I just wish AJ to come back healthy, when he comes back. I also hope that these other guys take this opportunity to show what they can do.
very true. It does such for andre though since this game was going to be getting so much attention, he deserves to get more nat'l recognition.
am i the only person who thinks this can be kubiaks way of messin up colts gameplan? im not sayin its 100% true but defiantly something he might be doing
It wouldn't surprise me if Kubiak sent Schaub out passing a lot on first down to the fullback and tight end. I'm not saying they will open it up, but the Texans used the pass to open up the run in Carolina and I expect them to do something like that again. I think they will do a pretty good job keeping the ball away from Manning, too. The fact that they have shown they are capable of putting on 10 minute drives on teams where everybody and their aunt knows they are running the ball makes me encouraged about the future of this team.
Good teams overcome injuries; the Texans have looked good so far. I say somebody steps up. I believe this is a winnable game, but a good showing is not enough. I want them to win it, and I am going to be real disappointed if they don't. Boorah!
even though andre didn't have a big game last time, his presence undoubtedly makes it easier on many aspects of the offense. you take him out and we have no proven threat in the passing game. of course if resting him this week gets him healthy for the rest of the season, then this is the way to go. i have so much confidence in this team and schaub right now, that i think we have a chance no matter what.
The way I see it ... this is just another test for this team. Week one, we won an opening game for the first time in four years and also won three straight for the first time ever dating back to last season. In Carolina, we found a team in the truest sense of the word rallying and coming together and negating an early 14 pt deficit in a tough place to get a win period! So, this week it's another opportunity to show they're contenders and they belong in the playoff talk segments. Everyone on all sides of the ball have to step up their game and play all out, the Colts are good for a reason they are like a machine but, they can be had. So AJ isn't going to play on Sunday? So what, Kuby will devise a game plan and find a way to gitter done!
Make that four... Week 15: Houston Texans 27, Indianapolis Colts 24 Week 16: Houston Texans 14, Cleveland Browns 6 Week 01: Houston Texans 20, Kansas City Chiefs 3 Week 02: Houston Texans 34, Carolina Panthers 21
In the last four games, the Texans have outscored their opponents 96 to 54. Ninety-freaking-six. That's an average of 24 points per game. And holding opponents to an average of 13.5 points per game. Niiiiiiiiiiice.
From watching the first two games, Schaub has pretty good rhythm with the other WR's and TE. I'm not too worried.
If the Titans could almost beat the Colts last week, and the Texans beat the Colts last time they played, I think we definitely have a pretty good chance here.
