[ESPN] Jeremy Lin on completing his 82nd career start

    There was also the issue that in the 90s this whole internet thing wasn't exactly the same as today.:rolleyes:

    What Lin actually need to work on now is his dribbling, he can be really wild with it at times, and of course if he can become a better finisher going left that would be huge.

    Kidd was drafted 2nd overall so he was more trusted and less questioned than Lin which helped his development. Nash was less prestigious at 15 overall but probably still face less doubters than Lin.

    So the key for Lin is to keep confident and not be frustrated with the ups and downs.

    I commented earlier, imagine if Lin wasn't asian, what schools would have given him a chance. I don't think it would be a lot, but it would be more then he actually got. Could you imagine if he went to a legit D1 school that could teach him and develop him right? It's almost a travesty that he didn't get drafted either. At least second round, his numbers at the Portsmouth Invitational were legit. He put up big numbers against top ranked D1 teams and despite playing in the Ivy league he broke every record for every stat. The kid is still developing and so far looks pretty decent for what technically is his first year.
