I love his rants, like the one on cheerleaders from last night, or the story about how he transfered from Ivy League to a community college just so he can play basketball...that one is classic
Because Walton took shots at JVG (when he was the Rockets coach) and JVG fired back. I can't stand watching Bill Walton. He tries to sound dramatic when he says stuff that is pedestrian. The only guys I listen to at halftime are the TNT guys. On ESPN, ABC or FSNH broadcasts, I never listen to one minute of pre-game or halftime chatter. Depending on the game, I'll listen to FSNH post-game comments sometimes, mainly to hear from Adelman.
If he owned or ran a basketball team, he would get rid of the cheerleaders. I think he's great, but that was one of his least funny moments. The conversation started with: JVG: Why do players need blogs? Breen: They have to update their fans and relate to them Then he went on the greatest rant ever talking about his mother, his basketball skills, his new "positive" demeanor etc etc etc
Did you guys hear what Walton said about Garnett on ESPN before the game? Oh god, he said that Garnett is like one "computer generated model" that you look for in a player. Something like that, but you get the point.......which I didn't get either
haha... same here! I'm not a Walton fan. If he's doing a Rockets game, that usually means turn down the TV and turn on the radio for me! I need to tune in to JVG. I caught him for a few mins a couple days ago and thought he was great.

they really need to pair jon barry with JVG and mike. That would be pure comedy. I actually kept watching that crap cavs game the other day just because I wanted to hear what he was going to say.
