I'm starting to wonder if Amare+Williams to Boston for Allen+Rondo makes any sence for Houston making them a 4th team involved. And i have a feeling we have sell there.

This won't work unless you throw in Chuck Hayes, but in the end we'd get.

Houston: I think this is a better deal for Houston, just let Brooks be Brooks and let him do what he does and that is score the ball. Let Rondo handle the rest of the setting up offense, etc.. Could Rondo and Brooks actually play in the same back court together?
    Iggy/Rondo/Speights/Allen

    Philly:
    McGrady/Lowry/Cook/Dorsey/Houstons 1st pick

    Phoenix:
    Dalembert/Landry/Taylor

    Boston:
    Amare/Williams/Hayes

    ?????

How would that work? I like Rondo, and I'm sure Aaron would still be a super-duper scoring sub off the bench, but we'd be too weak at other postitons, and have excesses elsewhere.

A.B., and Rondo both play high minutes, and while you could put one at SG for stretches you now have both Allen, and Iggy there already. Can't put A.I. at the 3 'cause you already have Trevor, and Shane there. Not to mention that since we've given up Landry if Luis goes elsewhere, that would leave just Speights, and Chuck at the 4.

Don't think that would work out well at all.

Iggy actually does play the three in a very small-ball line-up. But those are some statistical monsters Rondo/Brooks/Iggy right there. It's not like we lack size on the wings or scoring/defense either from Budinger/Ariza/Battier and then Allen, but i only see him here half the season. Rondo is under a good contract and he compensates any real loss from Iggy's contract and especially once the new CBA rules come in. Think about that. Rondo and Brooks have alot more miles on them especially against faster teams, run-n-gun teams and during the course of an 82 game season. I think it can work, it boils down to match-ups and coaching, but the minutes would be there and Battier is probably better suited in situational-defensive assignments and off the bench with the rest needed along with Ariza. I see no problem with it. we still have Yao-next season, Andersen, Scola, Speights to man the 4 and 5, just rent a player for the season or sign Camby once Allen comes off the books.

I know Iggy plays the 3. Some think it's his natural position.

Even though I'm wary of Amare(health/defense), and like Rondo I still do the Amare-here deal 1st. Minutes/positions are laid out, and porportioned beautifully. Plus I'm not sure how Yao plus small-ball will work. Luis is not a given, and in this scenario we also give up the Chuckwagon. I like him as a "closer/firefighter" of the bench, and don't really want to lose him.

Question. If I'm reading this correctly the 1st trade is something you've heard, and the last is you dreamcasting. Is this correct?

Gea!! lolz. Lets remember David Lee is a FA. Hustle, brings it every night, still some what young and can run. I wonder what our cap looks like though. We would still have to resign Scola too. Probably be had cheaper then what Amare runs for.

I don't think that's good line up for Yao.

    Here is my proposal

Suns get: Tmac, Battier and Scola or Landry (preferably Scola)

Rockets get: Amare, J Rich and Dudley

All 3 expire summer of 2011 along with Yao and Brooks. This gives us a year to see how the Amare and Yao experiment works. Also we can see if Yao can come back from his injury 100%. This gives us just over 45 mil in expiring contracts in the summer of 2011 and we can give Brooks his due and have plenty money left over to sign a max player or two
