this soap opera couldn't have gotten any better.

First, he becomes the worst general in sports history, now he's going to show his coaching skills.

Why two? Brown was only given one season.

The sports news is buzzing over here now. And guess what little rumor I just heard?

Looks like there is a possibility that Larry could end up with the BOBBYKITTIES. Jordan is part owner there now. And Dean Smith is getting involved in the team also. So, the rumors are flying that is where he is heading now. UNC alums all stick together.

Thats the news. And I stick by it! :p

Larry Brown is the most personel dependant coach in the league. If they aren't his type of players. he will struggle.

I think the Knicks will improve next season, they need to emphasise their offense more and give the team a bit more free reign, settle on a damn rotation, play the younger guys more. This team can have a solid line-up, and they need to ship either Francis, Marbury or Crawford out of there.

I'm amazed that a team with such a huge market, unlimited payroll and media exposure can be so poorly run. Imagine what a GM like Colangelo could do with an unlimited payroll....

exactly, larry brown's sisyphean punishment for mailing this season in and stealing 10 million dollars should be to have to coach this knicks roster every season for eternity until he achieves a winning record. only, on the odd chance it happens, the refs would F him over mercilessly every time he gets to 40 wins. it would be great to see him get up to 39 or 40 wins, only to have to start it all over again with marbury and crew.

Detroit bought him out so they probably cut him a check the same day.

NY fired him so he collects the whole $40M. They were trying to buy him out for less but he didn't go for it.

Yes, he is free to coach somewhere else.

Brown is 65, if I was him I would laugh all the way to the bank and leave the game to coach at the college level.

After all is said and done, Zeke's success for the 06/07 season will be heavily based on who he drafts in the first round next week with his 2 first round picks.

If he could move up in the first round or land to parts that fits and make this team play with more unity and fire, then they will have a chance to get to the 7th or 9th spot in the East.

He could also package the first round picks + plus a big contract to another team for the sake of reducing the clog especially in the back court.

This proves that legendary Ex-Rocket coach,
Don Cheney was not to blame for the Knicks terrible seasons.

Don Cheney... Coach of the Year

OK, it's hard to make fiction stranger than truth here, but try this. They're so desperate for talent over there, they tendered LB a long-term contract to coach for one year just to get a 2nd round compensation draft pick for him in 2008. :D

Well, if you can hire/fire enough quality coaches still on the payroll long-term, it could pay off!

You're mistaken. The Pistons did not win the title last year after getting past Miami. They won the year before.

This will be very interesting Thomas could really make EVERYONE eat their words - because (just about) everyone [including myself] thinks this will be a hilarious disaster.

Yeah, no one seriously believes he can turn the Knicks around or even halfway. So if Isaiah does do some good, he will be praised. He would have done what Brown couldn't. Nothing to lose.

Dolan and Deke deserve each other.
