I respect your opinion, but I strongly disgree and for many reasons. The big O was a great player no doubt but he only has one ring and only one mvp compared to Mike having 6 rings and 5 mvp's. And the year the big O won a ring back in 71 with the Bucks he wasn't even the best player on the team. Kareem was the best player he won the mvp and finals mvp that year. So to say a player is the GOAT who has never won a ring as the best player on the team doesn't sound right to me.

Championships are important, but you also have to consider that Jordans teams were pretty talented. I don't like just using championships as a flat basis of who the GOAT was. Same with MVPs because generally they give it to the best player on the best team. You have Pippen and Rodman on the team and Phil Jackson coaching and you are going to win titles.

an absolute insult to mention another player besides the one going to the hall of fame during his hall of fame day. you can write an entire article to praise dream's accomplishments but instead chose to spite the championships.
so newbies, would u like to see tmac's induction day article talking about kobe? kobe or no kobe tmac was great

Rockets fan or not, Michael Jordan was the greatest, period.

I don't say that Hakeem was less great but NBA promoted Jordan not Hakeem.

heck its insulting to even those who never have lived in Htown.

almost as furious as when there was some NBA/NBC special about Jordan and ahmad rashad said you were a champion and even let others have a chance and then showed a clip of Hakeem spinning off of Ewing for that dunk. As a kid I screamed at the TV he didnt let anyone have a chance thats total BS. It infuriates me to this day.

I figured out that the J.A. stands for Jack Ass

I guess some people are not infuriated about it since it has nothing to do with tmac or yao. I mean they never showed rockets games on national tv anyways so these new fans as they call them experts since all they see is jordan. rockets on national tv ? only if we make playoffs. we are on tv every week now cause yao and tmac sells products. our knowledge of hakeem wasn't based a couple of youtube videos. ja proves that the media hated those teams til this day. f them all.

Chauncy Billups was the best player on a championship team. Oscar Robertson wasn't.

I guess Billups > Robertson, then.

But they all had an equal opportunity when Jordan was gone, and Olajuwon was the only won to cash in.

I know this is nit picky but if you were writing an article for ESPN, wouldnt you proof read it?

Before you reply to me don't call me a Bulls fan because I'm not, I consider that as an insult.

Today is the same situation, maybe Paul Pierce can beat Kobe in the finals but NBA's gonna promote Kobe or LeBron who didn't pass the same Celtics.

It's marketing, NBA's an industry and I suppose Michael Jordan was more attractive to Stern than Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson or Reggie Miller.

you rookies still don't get it. its an insult.
if u are getting married would the preacher talk about another girl on her wedding?
u get the picture? also u newbs don't know how bad the disrespect was. what if we won the title and we don't make the cover of si? it happened. any rocket fan who is comfortable with article is not a fan in my book . its pure disrespect to the greatest player for which this entire bbs's original fanbase was created for.

yes and that has nothing to do with hakeems hof induction just like that insulting article. that belongs to mj's induction speech. I know you would high ja if u saw him the street for writing this article. when u talk about dream u talk about him, not jordan's name twice on the title.
the second round or no second round, tmac was great
I would write that if I wanted to insult tmac fans

    You have some issues.

I was member and I got downgraded but that doesn't matter now.

I'm telling you, it's all marketing, NBA doesn't like city of Houston as a sport city nor does like Clutch generation as well.

I swear if Lakers didn't make the playoffs it would be national embarassment the year before this. It's marketing, I see kids wearing Jordan jerseys and I see rarely a kid wearing Hakeem jersey.

I agree it's an insult but people are looking at those titles as they would never happen if Jordan didn't do his retire and billion $ worth comeback.
