I wouldn't put too much stock into the "teams interested". A lot of this info hasn't been updated and is based on speculation and old rumors. Look at Nate Robinson for example. Sacramento is on his teams interested because they were rumored to be after him at the trade deadline.
Sessions is at least a play maker which is what we need for the team. I would love for the guy to join our team.
Maybe i'm just being me again, but why wouldn't Morey offer Petro a 2 yr 4m deal similar to what frye got?
lol. I think its more like Aaron Brooks does not approve of my post. Kyle Lowry approves my signature though. That's for sure...
Because he doesn't do anything well (besides being tall, if you want to count that), and the Rockets don't want to spend money on such players when they are attempting to clear space for next offseason.
Sorry I just read suffering the web he had issues but again I assume there not that big of an issue thus I would want him here with the Rox for sure!
I'd be all for signing Sessions. I know he isn't much of an upgrade over our young and promising point guards, but he would definitely be another asset. Personally, I think free agency should be looked at exactly as the draft. Even if you have a position of need, you take the best available player. Then you use your stock piled assets to trade for what you need.
I think Kyle Lowry is a pretty good playmaker and he can still improve his game. I've always been impressed with his passing skills
I see you're buying into the bs. What does dorsey do well? When was the last time barry has done anything? He has more production than hayes and we're talking about 2m for a starting center who is 23 yrs old. It does help that he is 7 ft vs 6'5. Stay with the company line just like last yr when we had the discussions about jordan vs dorsey.
Well if you look at it that way, you could extend it to trading away Aaron Brooks while his value is sky-high and creating room for the assets we should go after. Signing free agents does not require us to give something away in return so its a great way to gain assets. If we can get a legit guard for Brooks like Rodney Stuckey that'd be great and Ramon Sessions would be a perfect fit for us. Its the same if we trade the players we already possess as with signing players and then trading them later on. Interesting to note that the Bucks picked Sessions with the Rockets pick we traded to them
hey we just aquired adersen from the hawks... http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Rockets_Acquire_Rights_to_Davi-319162-34.html
I don't know what Dorsey can do well. He's hardly played at all. Barry was a rotation player on a championship-level team not too long ago. Petro has been in the league for 4 years, with little to no progress in his game the last few years. What rebounding/defensive presence did he provide for any of his teams? He's not a shot blocker, not a particularly good rebounder, and he's shot around 40% from the field each of the last two seasons. He's never contributed on a winning team in any meaningful way. The correct question isn't why wouldn't Morey give him a 2 year deal. It's why would he. As for your Petro vs Hayes comment, I disagree. Not sure what you're talking about when you say "has more production". And the Rockets wouldn't give Dorsey or Hayes a 2 year at this stage either, when the plan is to commit big dollars to a free agent next summer. Maybe the Rockets would consider signing Petro to a 1-year deal at the minimum (though Les would have to pay an extra million on the luxury tax). I just don't see much potential in him. With Dorsey, there is at least the hope that he can develop into a bruising, elite defender/rebounder. It's not exactly unprecedented for a player of his physical stature to become that type of player. With Petro, what do you think the upside is? He's not a particularly explosive athlete. Not someone who runs the floor. Doesn't have very good defensive instincts. Please tell me ... what does he do well?
what about Marvin Williams? I would love to have him. plus the hawks just signed bibby and zaza to longer deals.
A couple of notables I'd like to see the Rockets target: Desmond Mason Joey Graham Both are cheap, decent G/F. The problem with both is they don't have 3pt range, but I'd take them off the bench.
