the hawks used him completley wrong. iirc, he played point guard for them. he's played all five positions in the nba...intruguing.
he folds in the big games is what ive been told. in the regular season and playoffs. he did play like a little bitcchh in the SA series...
You're mistaking Diaw with Marion. Diaw came up huge for the Suns last year in the playoffs. Especially against the Mavs.
Call me an idiot, but i'd rather sign Mikki Moore than trade for Diaw. Moore can body up, do a little defending, rebound, and finish more consistently than chuck hayes
Diaw would dominate in the motion offense. he's playmaking ability would suit Adelmans offense to the T....
He shot 54% from the floor. He averaged 5 assists and his scoring average and rebound average dropped with the addition of Amare and less playing time. I don't see that he was any less efficiant just not as big a part of the offense.
Diaw would do well under Adelman, who would use his multiple talents well. His biggest asset is versatility, which we have very little of.
I saw him be less efficient especially in the early part of th season. He showed up to camp overweight and out of shape after signing his new contract.
This is my main concern about Diaw. For him to do this after signing his contract is a huge red flag for me. At the beginning of the season, he played sluggish and acted like he didn't care. But as we saw during the playoffs in 06, when Diaw is passionate he can be dynamic. His varied skillset should flourish in Adelman's offense.
seems to me that morey is trying to build a few bridges as he enters his new role as GM. not a bad idea. i think this will work to his advantage in the coming year.
diaw is not a good option at the PF position. billups at PG is the most important piece to go after. if that doesn't work, i don't mind looking at getting rashard lewis and trying to make him a 3/4 hybrid.
