How can anybody want to trade Ariza after this post-season? He's EASILY our best perimeter defender, and is clearly a team leader . Brewer or KJM don't belong anywhere near the starting line-up.

Aldridge will sign with Rockets. Spurs and Mavs are too old. Rockets have two superstar in their prime. Who wouldn't want to join that?! Aldridge>>>Bosh!

It's a lot easier to find a substitute for Ariza than it is to find someone of Aldridge or Love's caliber.

If the price to get Love is Ariza, I would gladly pay it. Ariza’s awesome, but he was also let go by the Wizards last year despite having a better year. Role players will always be available if you know where to look. And the Rockets are really good at looking.

One thing about going after Love is that we are very likely able to work out a S&T with Cleveland to retain our MLE. If Love is leaving, Cleveland would surely prefer the S&T route so they can recoup some of the assets they gave away. So we may not have to part with Ariza. Whereas with LMA I think Portland will be less amicable to a S&T.

Ariza is a better fit than Love or Aldridge.

who? Someone who wants t be the man of his team and hates sharing his team with someone like Lillard enough to even consider leaving big $$$$ off the table to go sign elsewhere. That's who.

Dudes are trying to trade the only guy who can guard anyone on the perimeter for Love who cant guard anything?

Then when guards and Forwards are lighting the rockets up game to game, people will blame Morey/Mchale for that 2?

In general yes it's harder to find someone of the star caliber of Love and Aldridge.
But positionally wise it's much harder to find a good defensive wing than a good pf.
And the defensive wings will be expensive. Forget 8 per , at least 10 per. The Rockets won't be able to replace Ariza on the cheap.

Ariza has to stay. He's the kind of role player you have on a championship level team.

Is it at all possible for the Rockets to keep the majority of this team intact and still add Aldridge? I would be ok with Jones, Donatas, and Beverely moved if it meant getting Aldridge.

Rockets would be unstoppable with Aldridge. I foresee multiple championships with him on our team. Trade Ariza if that's what it takes. Harden, Howard, Aldridge 3 superstars in their prime. Fill out the roster will players that can shoot.

yes. Get the Haywood contract. Convince Aldridge to sign a 1+1 player option with a paycut. Resign him next offseason for a crazy amount of money.

Harden has improved. And Love, as a free agent, is not worth as much in a trade (or even a sign and trade) given the leverage that free agents have. So, the answer for now is "no."

Last season's Harden wasn't nearly this valuable.

Kevin Love is a 3rd wheel at best on a good team

James Harden nearly took a very flawed team to the finals, the two are not anywhere close to the same league.

The two are literally in the same league.
