The Heat roster has intrigued me. They are all 2's and 3's and could use some size (duh; arf; me so smart). I wouldn't be surprised to see the Heat as a Rockets trade partner, given the two head coaching brothers. But they can keep Eddie Jones. Cato/Taylor/Boki for Grant and Caron Butler? Grant only played 25 minutes last night. I don't want to read into it too much; maybe he had foul trouble or a case of Yao-Ming tummy. Caron Butler didn't play at all. Of course he had that surgery, but can't you imagine not playing him, given the trade rumors? Why play him and risk further injury in his return from surgery if he will basically replicate the skills of some of the players on the court? Caron Butler at the 3. Talk about a JVG-like player. And Grant? Overpaid by far, but we did look into Antonio Davis during the summer, and Grant is 3 years younger than Davis. Of course we would have to pursue a Tony Battie on the side as a backup center.
