Without personally knowing any of these players, I'm going to take a wild guess than neither Bosh or Wade want to be part of the LeChoke show. There are hefty egos involved, after all, and I don't think they'd be comfortable in his shadow. I think Bosh in Miami is the most likely scenario. Chicago being second.

I think the extra year is really over rated. Most Max level players opt out of that final year so they can sign a longer deal.

    In my opinion..

I disagree with all the people who think Houston doesn't have a chance.

I think bosh has narrowed a top three Chicago, Miami, and of course Houston. Also, he has top three in qualities in a franchise that satisfies him the most; Winning, being the centerpiece, and location.

The likeliness of winning a championship is with talented Bulls.
The likeliness of being the centerpiece, Rockets.
The likeliness of playing with one of the greats in a vivacious city such as Miami.

With DM actively recruiting him, we have a high possibility of obtaining one of the best players of the present time.

This is why I believe that he will be in Houston. Unless he changes his mind about being the "man", there's no way he'd play with the likes of Lebron, Kobe, Wade, or even Durant or Rose. I just hope the Rockets don't give up to much to get him. I'd love to keep the young core together.

I'm going to disagree on some things.

Yes, they do have some talented players; no denying that. But championship? I can only see them becoming championship contenders if they were to add a Wade or LeBron and then a guy like Bosh. Even then we've seen with a LeBron or Wade on your team in the playoffs doesn't necessarily = success. Otherwise [w/o them] they'll be in that 5-8 range as they are now imo.

As much as many of us fans have(myself included) said in the "Comments to Chris Bosh" thread about him being the guy and having a big role/prominant role in the offense, I can't say I necessarily see it[unless Yao was out/injured]. Perhaps it's more like 2nd or 3rd. Yes, I still think things will run through Yao [that is when he is here and healthy].

2-5 is debatable. Martin? Brooks? Bosh himself? Varies and depends on who you ask. Of course it only matters what Rick thinks and says. Bosh would be a nice addition here but centerpiece? I dont know about that. I very well could be wrong though.

If Bosh truly wants to be the centerpiece where he is the guy and the ball runs through him, as I've said in past posts in this thread, maybe staying in Toronto or going to NY, NJ, LAC would be better for him. Otherwise, he is second star to a LeBron, Wade, Kobe and other stars on top teams. JMO

BTW, this isnt to say Houston doesnt have a shot at him. I'm just one who thinks where the action will be different from the talking.

If Bosh comes here he will be the centerpiece, and the guy whom the offence will revolve around. Even when he's healthy Yao Ming as the first option wouldn't be the ideal choice, he takes too long to wrestle with his opponent in the post. Once he finishes and has position, its hard to throw him the ball correctly because of his height and his slow reaction time. Finally even when he has the ball all the opponent has to do is front him and he loses effectiveness. Oh yeah, he gets tired really easily so you can only go to him a number of times.

Yao Ming is best used as the low attempts but extremely efficient 2nd option, kinda' like what Gasol or KG. What'll happen we'll start playing a lot like the Suns, with Brooks and Bosh starting everything with a PNR.

The problem with that arrangement is that will make Bosh our best player and de facto leader. He just doesn't have the winning personality to be the best player on a championship team. If our leader is Chris Bosh, we are not winning a championship. Yao has more of that personality than Bosh does. Of course, I would rather have a wing player with that mentality than Yao.

We agree that one extra year on the contract means nothing.

    Signed,
Steve Francis, Grant Hill, Allan Houston, Micheal Redd, etc. etc. etc.

Speaking of 'where does Bosh go?'; what am I missing here?

Can someone tell me why so many Laker fans think that Bosh is a done deal, and that Bynum for Bosh straight up makes total sense? Am I wrong in wondering if that's another Gasol trade type of screwjob?

Because Laker fans think they deserve the moon, stars & the sun, and they deserve the best. They are the most arrogant group of people I've ever seen.

I don't mind homerism, nor even being delusional. I think any fan has a fair amount of both characteristics in him.

But I really dislike the sense of entitlement in Lakers fans. As if they deserve it because they're the freaking Lakers.

Didnt say much about any team really mainly just about bosh and what he needs around him, but the rockets are one of three teams mentioned as BEST fit for Bosh it's towards the bottom of the post.

Man the offseason is going to be so fkin awesome!!

What dollar amount would we be sending to Toronto if it did happen. I assume if he leaves in a SnT, he signs first for the max $125/6 years. That's an average of nearly $21 million a year. We don't have to come up with $21 million in assets do we?

I think his deal would START at around 16M. And we can be within a certain percentage of that (not sure the number) but we would have to come up with around 13M to hit the match salary requirements.

You could do that with Jeffires+Hill+Andersen I think.
