Howard to Dallas could be a real thing if he and Harden don't build some synergy this year. If it seems like our peak was last season, and JSmoove goes to Dallas, Howard going there to follow with Mrs. Chanandler Bong wouldn't be so crazy. With that said, last year everyone thought OKC was going to win it all and Houston and GS would struggle to make the playoffs. A year from now all this could be noise behind Howard and Harden chatter for MVP and Finals MVP.

I saw Amin Elhassan on ESPN once, "NBA expert" and whatnot. I was more used to his snobbish chats on ESPN's web site.

To be honest, I'm stunned he managed to stay so articulate on-air, what with the tip of his tongue being firmly ensconced in Steph Curry's bunghole.

So is this piece of **** just gonna ignore Dwight's alley oop fest during the Dallas playoff series???

Dwight was a BEAST in May/June. GTFO

I think Dwight don't like to be 2nd fiddle to anyone on a team....that's why he left LA and Kobe...and I notice hints with interviews he had with the Rockets he's painting himself as the Alpha male leading this team....so if even this year Harden calls out Howard I thinks the chance of him staying is less and less.

I think right before he came back from injury he said something on the lines that this was Harden's team. I don't think he has a huge problem being 2nd fiddle to Harden.

Would Dwight really be in line for and/or get a starting salary near $29 million a year?

Even with an increased cap, that seems ridiculous.

What happens with Dwight will be interesting...

    ---

Oh, and the obligatory random trade that is ludicrous.

Dwight to Philadelphia for Okafor and Embid!!

What would Howard do in Dallas? Dirk will be retiring any season now. What possible incentive does Dallas have for him?

That will leave Howard on a team with Matthews and maybe Parsons, what the **** will 30+ year old Howard (with probable knee problems), Achilles tear Matthews and micro fracture Parsons do in the west? Collect a **** load of late lottery picks.

Dwight is a top big man and I'm happy he's on our team, but the reality is as many of you have posted...he's getting older and his body is breaking down plus he does have a past of wanting to leave his team for personal reasons...against the Coach with the Magic or a teammate with Kobe.

This is why I think the rockets should look at a second option...I always liked Dmo's skill set and believe he can only get better if given a chance...look at the games he started when Dwight was out with injuries...sign Dmo long term if Dwight shows any signs of declining skills or past issues with the team.

What? The cap goes WAY up next year, he will make a lot more money with a new contract.

Right. Because WCF, second in the most loaded Western Conference in league history, and first in the toughest division in the league isn't special at all. Not even when DH was out half the year. No, that's not special. Just another run of the mill year that happened to be our best run since Hakeem was playing.

I love you, DD. But your takes are really out there sometimes.

And the Rockets can still offer him a bigger contract than another team can if he opts out. I expect him to opt out, health permitting, and then re-up for a bigger max contract.
