I think now that Bucher has helped write Yao's book, he's trying to distance himself from the Rockets so he won't be labelled a rocket homer.

I was just reading this article on ESPN and this part popped out at me. I guess I missed it the first time around. So Ward got a 2 year deal for 3.6 mill. The third year that was reported must be a team option. Good. That sounds just about right if he can give us some decent minutes until Sura comes back, and then play the backup pg for the next two years.

I think Ward will be the starting PG unless we get a new one. Sura will back up Ward and Lue but mainly McGrady.

Some of you guys need to really back off the Jim Jackson factor. First of all, he’s just as turnover prone as the guys who were shipped out. Savvy veteran, maybe, but there are reasons why guys like him are shipped from team to team. And he wasn’t consistent either. He’s a nice role player, but Mr. Joe Lunch Pale he is not.

Forgive my ignorance - but hasn't Tracy McGrady been playing Shooting Guard for the last few years now?

These paragraphs read like we're going to be so short-handed at SG defensively because Jackson is playing there, and won't have the footspeed to guard them anymore - but won't TMac get that assignment???

    Wierd......

The article's saying McGrady will play SG and JJ the SF position, but in defense McGrady will take on the opponent's SF, which means JJ will have to take on the SG.
