That too, I still would like to see him take it to the whole more. He settled for a lot of jumpers last night in the 2nd half even when he was off, but he heated up when it counted.
Seriously? Read the article and decide for yourself whether Sheridan is blasting T-Mac or not. Why don't you just stick to posting old articles about Vernon Maxwell, tinman?
He's probably still a little tentative. I doubt we ever see him rack it like ORL/Early Houston again but I would imagine he'd grow a little more aggressive as his confidence grows.
Not McGrady I meant Durant. T-mac used to drive me nuts settling for jumpers to when he played for Houston.
OP, your quote is obviously taken out of context. Everyone is well aware of T-Mac's ability to say stupid things, but it's clear in this case that he meant "I didn't want to try to be a hero [knowing I didn't have my legs]." I think one of T-Mac's biggest problems is his penchant for off-the-cuff candid quotes. He says whatever comes to his mind, and it usually ends up sounding arrogant or out of touch. In this case, I think he just used the wrong words to express what he was thinking.
I think Stacey's problem is that he is just a whiny b*tch. Its OK though because he has a bunch of people like you going around and re-writing history for him, ya know, fixing up quotes he makes, talking about his great performances on teams that failed him and stuff like that.
Easy, fella. I know all about T-Mac's history here, and I was fully in support of the trade. His time was done in Houston, and I am very excited about our current team. I just think it would be better to be critical of his actual faults and problems, rather than picking on a poor choice of words, when it is obvious what he meant. If you want to criticize the guy, talk about the fact that he constantly held the ball last night in the fourth quarter outside the three point line instead of moving the ball and getting his teammates involved. Oh, and in the future, I would appreciate if you would not put words in my mouth. I never mentioned "great performances on teams that failed him", etc.
If he went out there and he sucked he would be blasted for playing with no energy. Since he didn't do that he is getting blasted for that. This is ridiculous. We won 65% of the games with him on the floor whether yao was there or not. We got a good matchup in portland and we got to the second round. I remember during that win streak tmac was playing 48min for us to win. Let us just appreciate the good things he did. He didn't ask to get traded. He WANTED to be a Houston rocket.
No he didn't. But he did want to take every other year off while raking in max salary. Sounds like a filthy rich man's welfare request.
One is voluntary and other is involuntary. If Yao would have take a whole year off because of "personal reasons" I would put both in the same category. Rockets realize this now which is why Yao is still in Rockets long term plans while McGrady was asked to pack his bags.
