Holy crap! We had a horrible season because of injuries overall and especially to our franchise players? And the best way to avoid another season like this is to stay healthy and draft/sign younger players to fill in around our franchise players? I spent this whole season wondering why we were losing so many games and how we could play better next season. But, thanks to ESPN Insider, I feel much better knowing what the problem is and how to fix it! Hopefully, the Rockets have ESPN Insider or somehow see this info so they'll know how to procede from here. What genius writing!
What's their solution for fixing the Knicks? Trading all those selfish, overpaid players for more talented, team-oriented players with smaller contracts?
in other words the rockets are screwed if mcgrady doesn't get better. i know its simple, but none of the writers in houston are saying it. everytime I here rockets talk, they say "when mcgrady comes back". well that's not a given at this point.
I read an ESPN article on competitive skiing once. It said "Go that way (downhill) really fast. If something gets in your way... turn."
[HAYJON] How to fix ESPN Youre a multimillion dollar corporation. Cultivate the people's opinions of you by instead of trying to sell names of your bigshot wannabe writers who are sounding more and more like political hackjobs instead of sports journalists, sell information that the fans wont make fun of you for touting as in depth analysis. You can't cover hundreds of teams with the same damn writers. Hire more people who will actually watch the games, ALL of them, and maybe are there for post games to ask questions and observe what is actually going on. Having an emotional attachment to the team will help with relating to the viewer. Maybe train recent former players like Jon Barry to cover a team like a professional. Then you could have open debates come playoff time. Imagine Jon Barry against Sean Elliott on national TV just before the WCF start jocking their respective teams in an intelligent knowledgable manner. Fans aren't watching coverage for your guys aaaawesome tv voices and their generic opinions of our team. Hell, most of those guys hate our team. Why someone should be paid for writing the crap at the start of the thread is F@#%% ridiculous. That's the best they can do? Really? That's just sad.
how??? there was no "analysis" in this whatsoever. "replace old players" is not a solid analysis in how to improve this team. author might as well have said "How to fix the rockets? Get better."
I was thinking about subscribing to ESPN Insider but this lemon flavored paper doormat is really quite appealing. Please tell me where I can get one.
Just saw this on Sportscenter and it made me take back everything bad I've ever said about them. Now I think they're innovative and the most clever show on TV! Apparently it's national lookalike day and they started showing Robert Horry clips. Then the anchor guy is like "Am I the ONLY ONE that thinks Robert Horry looks like Will Smith?" Wow! That is so fresh and funny. I've never heard that before. That is so hilarious that he thought of that. What a kidder!
this is a confidence booster for me about being able to get a good job in the sports media industry when i graduate. that was possibly the worst "professional" insight and commentary that i've ever read. and espn is paying this person??!!!???!!! and better yet people are actually paying espn every month for this???!!!???? i feel like i'm taking crazy pills! how is espn the "sports leader" putting crap like this on the internet and putting crap like stephen a. smith on television.....
Yonkers is so smart. I can't believe so many dumb people pay to see this so called "insider" info which you can get anywhere if you're really a fan.
