I've been excited every spring since the spring of '83. And I have a tradition--every spring for the first spring training day I sit out in my truck at lunch hour and listen to as much of the game as I can get away with. Only five more weeks!!! I'm excited about the prospects of the Astros winning, but I'm also excited about baseball games, baseball news, baseball arguing, baseball pennant chase, baseball trades, little league baseball, church league softball, baseball in general. God's game.
my son is all signed up for dad's pitch baseball. we've been working on catching the ball and hitting all winter long. i miss MLB the next morning after the World Series ends every year. get a little empty feeling in my stomach everytime it ends. hope springs eternal.
