There are Kyrie Irving and Jonas Valanciunas. They will be better than Brooks and Hayes or give us a center that's taller than 6'6" to rebound and defend and they be peaking for out next playoff run. Nene would be a stopgap measure before his declining 30s.

Hope we get Nene. Very efficient player who I think would fit well with this team. Get it done DM.

People act like decent centers grow on trees, Nene is a very good player who can play center and do the dirty work of grabbing loose boards, putbacks, and play solid D. He's great around the basket and has 5 inches on Hayes.

IMO this along with a trade for a Wallace or Mayo is what Morey will do. Why not Mayo and Thabeet along with Nene? Twill and PPat need minutes.

    Ideally 3 trades:

    Nene for picks, Hill, Bud
Mayo and Thabeet for Lee, Jeffries, pick
    Wallace for Brooks, Battier

    Lowry/Ish
    Martin/Mayo
    Wallace/Twill
    Scola/PPat
    Nene/Thabeet/Miller

Something like that, maybe use Yao's contract somewhere here...

I don't like these type of deals were the player can opt out after the season. If he had 2 or 3 years left on his contract I would be cool with it. The only reason why the Nuggets would love to trade him now is to get as much as they can cause they know they won't resign him when they will be in rebuilding mode once they trade Melo. I say wait til free agency and the price will be cheaper in a sign in trade cause they wouldn't want to lose him for nothing and will take anything of value.

Considering the lack of depth at the C for the West all-star team... NENE IS AN ALL-STAR CALIBRE PLAYER!

It would be nice to get him but i'm in 2 inds. If we get him for almost nothing but 2nd rounders and 1 or 2 young talents, then we are getting greate value talent back and win out. BUT... it doesn't reall work with the direction of this team right now. We are definitely not in win now mode unless a miracle happens and Melo comes over.

Where are you guys coming up with the idea that the Rockets can get Nene for just 2 young players and a pick?

The salaries have to match for the trade to work.

Funny, when Thabeet was rumored, people got all excited. Now Nene gets a lukewarm response.

Martin and Brad Miller for Nene and JR Smith works

Smith expires so he wont be a rocket. We get a ok center while Nuggets gain a serviceable shooting guard.

    Lowry
    Lee
    Battier
    Scola
    Nene

I have mixed feelings about this trade

    Billups
Martin with Affalo as the 6th man
    Melo
    Martin
    Miller

Melo might stay knowing he has a legit scorer next to him so they might not care about getting a old center

Denver-NJ in advanced talks on Anthony, Billups, Balkman, Ely, Williams for Favors, Harris, Murphy, Uzoh and 4 1st rounders, source tells Y!

Once again, Nets-Nuggets have framework of a deal, but Anthony needs to be sold. Prokhorov-Melo meeting could take place in LA this weekend • 2/17/11

This trade will leave Denver with only one SF on its roster, undrafted free agent rookie Gary Forbes. So do the math on what we will need to give up to get Nene.

Best player on a 26-31 team with a DESPERATE need for a center and an adequate replacement behind him.

I can see Portland jumping in and trading for Harris with Andre Miller + Babbitt

I thought Denver wanted to hand the team over to Lawson; I don't know why they want Devin. Even if POR is interested, that still means Andre Miller getting the starting nod over Lawson.

We cant give them Lowry because they have PGs. Cant give them a center or a small forward. They wont want any of our bench players.

So it's either Martin or Scola. They would probably bite on Martin and not scola because they have the other KMart.

If nugs were to trade Nene it probably wouldnt be for players with "upside" but players that are already good.

well unless Morey brings out a morey and morey's the nuggets morey bad? Your know?
