Play Hill and Flynn a bit to increase their trade value and send Nene, Hill, Flynn and another pick for Dwight Howard.

That's a well thought out trade, but maybe tweek it a little more to increase the odds that CP3 resigns. Trade Lowry, Martin, Scola, Dragic and the Knicks pick for CP3, Jarrett Jack and David West in a sign and trade. CP3 is supposedly very tight with Jack and West. No way he gives up over $25 million AND leaves Jack, West and Nene to go to New York.

Then either at the trade deadline, or next summer, if Dwight has not already been traded to LA, you have a shot at trading Nene for Dwight. That is, if Orlando prefers Nene over Bynum - not a reach if Bynum gets hurt again. Or if Dwight says he wants to play with CP3, Lee and West instead of an over the hill Kobe and Gasol, and forces New Orleans to send him here.

Take a shot at CP3 because he's a superstar. Superstars like to play with other superstars. Maybe CP3 can attract another one. THEN we'll be "over the top."
