Sweet baby Jesus, just do the trades! Any trades! Throw in Morey's left nut! Who cares! Just end this NBA off-season of Hell before blood starts squirting out my nose and ears!

I'm sure we can do that. The question is will New Orleans take it and have to play Paul every year in our division? There's something to be said about Conference and Division. They know if they trade Paul here, the odds improve greatly that they'll be playing against Paul and Howard here every year and they'll have to try to build a better team than what we have put together.

This is exactly how I feel about the Lakers. I'd rather see Paul go to NY or Boston if we can't get him just to keep him away from the Lakers. The last thing we want to do is have to build a team to compete against Kobe, Paul, and Howard.

If Paul goes East, only one team can come out of the East, and those triple-headed teams are going to lack quality mates around them. It's going to play out that way with the new CBA. They're going to try to have to move one of their big 3 to make a serious run at championships and get through their own Conference rivals. Kobe is aging. He's got 2-3 years left and he's going downhill right now. If we can't pull off a deal for Paul but Paul and Howard wind up in the East, I like our chances competing against OKC and Dallas going forward. I think our GM is better and will eventually land us a very good team with good to great players at every position or he will land us a superstar or two to go along with our other pieces.

The last thing I want to see is Paul on the Lakers.
The best thing I want to see is Paul on the Rockets.
The second best thing is anywhere in the East.

New Orleans, ideally, wants max value and Paul in the East. Hence Boston is probably the team in the drivers seat to acquire him if they can peel enough value out of Rondo and Green.

Interesting wrinkle to Celtics' bid for CP3: If RFA Jeff Green accepts qualifying offer, he can block deal. Gives Green some leverage.

Problem is celts have to get Greens okay...he wont go to NO...fact. Hes in the driver seat...it would have to be a sign and trade. so Celts would have to work out a SnT with another team to get something different for him for NO. Thus limiting Greens trade value.

I wouldnt want rondo on a crappy team...doubt hed be as good..and has a horrible attitude probably have to flip him for less value after he makes a trade demand mid season.

New Orleans are just using celtics to get GSW to throw in curry and Clipps to throw in gordon. Which honestly GSW should NEVVVA do. Clips on the other hand would be able to keep paul if they got him. I guarantee a few weeks of alley oopin to griffin...theyd be best friends.

I would. We have the three covered(Bud, Williams, Morris?).

Once again, we are hoping other deals fall through.

Clippers not giving up Gordon because CP3 wouldn't sign an extension.
GSW not giving up Curry because CP3 wouldn't sign an extension.
Boston not having enough if they can't fit Green in the deal.
Dallas??? Not sure they have more than us in terms of tradeable talent

If we get him, it will likely be more by default than anything else. Well, de-fault is the two sweetest words in the English language. :)

I see Green as a marked improvement in a relatively weak position on the roster.

Bud is solid, but the other two have a lot to prove before I'm ready to call the SF position "covered."

Don't you all see the pattern here. It's the same thing over and over again with these superstar types. Alas, it is not all bad like some of you are making it out to be. Just resign Chuck!

    WHAT!?

If the deal goes through, the Knicks use amnesty on Chauncey Billups and move Ronny Turiaf to make room for Chandler, sources say.

Multiple league executives say the Knicks are now in the lead to land Tyson Chandler, jumping in front of the Warriors.

I guess chandler knows how much he can get from any number teams...maybe he waits to see where cp3 goes first?

I bet we offer a SnT pkg to mavs to match the money for chandler if we can swing a deal for CP3

    LOL @ Warriors.

Knicks getting Chandler, ironically, all but eliminates any chance at Paul.

So I'm assuming the Knicks will wait it out until next season? I think Morey should still trade for him and try and work his magic for Howard throughout the season :(

He's going there because of Paul. They will find a way.

How the hell do they get Paul if they have 55 million tied up in three players?
