I would love to be surprised with this but I don't see any of these stars ending up in Houston.

The move would be made using a combo of these guys.

Lowry, Scola, and picks would likely get it done.

If you can get Chris Paul, you do it in a heartbeat. Wouldn't it nice to have a real shot at Dwight Howard too? Either way Paul becomes a huge piece as Morey puts this together.

Though there may be elements of truth in the above statement, like most of the greats, Chris Paul makes the game look so easy (slows down for him) and will elevate the level of play of our Rockets in a big way.

Why do you believe Scola would be enough to land Paul?? NO doesn't want a 30+ year old, they are going to want youth, picks and try to get rid of a crap player on a bad contract.

Personally, i don't usually believe we have a chance on trading for a superstar, but there is potential here. It all comes down to the contract extension: teams don't want to trade because of this. Here comes Houston, DECENT players and picks, willing to give up a little more on the chance of getting him to resign.

I'm not worried if we do get him and he leaves; as long as we can work out a snt or we don't give up too many picks to get him here bc it forces us to rebuild.

Monta has a worse contract than Martin.

    LOL.

    Martin > Monta

I'm willing to bet that Ariza has been in Paul's ear about not to consider signing in Houston long term because of the management. I know that has nothing to do with New Orleans' consideration of trading him here but the chances Paul somehow signs long term even if he gets here is extremely bleak.

Favre and Tebow also make way more noise than anything else on ESPN. And American Idol is a popular TV show.

Paul and Dwight on the same team is what people want? Better make sure you find someone who wants to take the big shot with whatever money you have left.

I'm pretty sure that the way Ariza has played last year, that C Paul will probably think that Rox management is genius for being able to convert Ariza and his contract for Lee.

That is actually a positive endorsement.

It looks like a race for Paul.... It appears as though there's a good chance Tyson Chandler will sign with whoever gets him. If Paul were to come here and bail... You still have Chandler, who would put up pretty good numbers playing alongside Paul again. The importance? Trade Chandler to the highest bidder this summer and start from scratch. Yes, you would likely lose Lowry and maybe Patterson, but you could also possibly get out of Scola's contract if he's in the deal.

Paul's shot isn't too bad, Martin or Lee maybe able to take it, if we only need a two, we can use Dwight to our advantage.

I get what you're saying, and I feel the same way, there's nothing like knowing you have a guy whom you can give the ball to with a second left to drain the winning three.

Unofrtunately, there are only 3-5 guys in the league who can do that on a consistent basis, and none of them are coming here.

What is so special about Chris Paul? Sorry but I'm not seeing it. Scola alone is more than generous of an offer. In fact, if not for Scola's age and his recent knee surgery I would not even think about trading him for Chris Paul.

Certainly not Scola, picks, and another player like Lowry or Martin.

I really don't see why people are so high on Chris Paul. He's clearly really overrated in this forum. I'm guessing that people here have not seen him play that much.

    Feigen:

Not breaking news that Morey is interested in a superstar. Reports out there that he has the Rockets pursuing Chris Paul.

(Feigen):I put that in the story Monday. He has been for 2 years now. He wont stop being interested now. I dont think the Rockets have a great shot at that. They would take him without an extension. If he wants NY, he can go there. He wont sign an extension with anybody. SOmeone will have to trade with that gamble and Daryl would and would hope to make it work. He could trade for Paul then make a run at Howard and say I can put you two together. If you got Chandler and kept Martin and Scola(I dont think NO wants older guys, they want more guys like Stephen Curry) if you have Martin, Scola, and Paul and Chandler in the middle, maybe they have the success where Paul wants to stay. They were teammates. Chandler maybe had a career last year but he was great with Chris Paul. If you could get him, that might be something that influences Paul to stay.

Feigen also stated on 610 that he hasn't heard any new scuttlebutt about pending trades or free agents, so.....

    A useless interview IMO.

Feigan is the last to know stuff anyways so I highly doubt he breaks any news.

Would trade Lowry, Lee, Patterson, Morris, and the Knick's 2012 pick for Paul.

Exactly the trade I was thinking of would even throw in Dragic if needed. Basically all of our young quality assets. Then sign Chandler followed by resigning Chuck.

    Run with:

    Paul/Flynn
    Martin/Flynn or Williams
    Budinger/Williams
    Scola/Hill
    Chandler/Hayes/Thabeet
