Come to think about it, this would be a waste of Moreys time when they already have three capable PG's on the team.

Thanks Morey for dangling our hearts up into the heavens once again. Even the kid who cried wolf met the wolf once. Is this gonna be that one time?

But they are really ..actually they are TOTALLY...nothing, compared to CP3.

    But nothing beats Rondo...so..yea.

Sucks being a Rockets fan for the last 2 years.

Morey needs to understand that the path to success in life and all other things is not trying. Have you met a guy who failed at something he never tried?

Exactly. You can't fail if you don't try.

Chris Paul is a once in a life-time type of player and if you have a shot at getting him at any capacity you go all-in for that. No one is untouchable on this roster for Chris Paul. Hell, there's maybe only 5 or 6 players in the entire league that's untouchable in a trade for Paul.

After some nice 10 hours of sleep....

We should not go after CP3 because we failed to do so with Bosh and Melo

Conclusion: If you don´t try you will never fail, please don´t ever try to land a superstar Morey, NEVAHHH

We should not go after CP3 because we have 3 decent PGs

Conclusion: If we somehow manage to play with 3PGs per game, we will be better off then having CP3

We should not go after CP3 because PG is our strongest position, just go after Howard

Conclusion: If Morey finds a way to trade Hill for Howard straight up, we are a championship team

    Howard
    Scola
    Morris
    Martin
    Lowry

If Morey can´t, then he should be fired

Summary: Can someone try to at least make sense if you are against the idea of trading for CP3?

i'm torn on paul because i know you need a superstar to compete and draw other superstars, but it just seems like a bad use of resources if he leaves or we are unable to acquire another superstar to go with him. of course, if the latter happens, the former probably will as well. i just don't think that lowry is that much of a downgrade from paul especially when you consider their costs.

    Wow - really?

Lowry is a nice player but he is not even close to being in CP3's class.....

I agree with most people on this... if chris paul is on the block u do everything to try and grab him. We NEED a superstar even if he doesnt stay we play our young guys and get a high draft pick.. its a win win situation. People that say we are 1 good center away from being a championship contender need to see if its not Dhoward we are NOT that good.

I'm not a big fan of having your best player be your PG. I think that the last 20 years have shown that having a dominant center/wing is your best bet to a championship.

Lowry is nowhere close to CP3 on the offensive end, but he is perfect for a contender on the defensive side, which actually makes him perfect for most teams contending for a championship. If his Threes continue to fall and his defensive toughness continues, I see no reason to look at a new PG.

I say we go after Howard/Nene and see where that takes us, or at the very least, get involved in the CP3 trade and pick up some of the extra pieces that might fit well with us (or throw a little Morey magic and pick up some nice draft picks).

Lowry doesn't have to be in CP3 class in oeder for this team to win.

True, the team can wallow along at it's 42-45 win pace with Lowry outhustling other teams night in and night out, or they can get a true difference maker like CP3 and try to actually contend.

NBA is a league of stars, they are what is needed to win under these rules and to get one, you oftne need to trade one in regards to dealing with teams. That is why most of our assets won't give us stars. Hornets are rumored to put the rondo deal first bc you get another star guard, while we have amazing role players, they are great as 2nd,3rd options really and if they are giving up their cornerstone they want to get someoen who can potentially be a cornerstone. We don't have those guys, while some argue that patterson has those ceilings, those guys haven't even showed hints of materializing more than just solid contributors so it didn't work out with all of our 'assets'

CP3 is, aside from Durant, probably my favorite player in the league not wearing Rocket Red. I'd love to have him here....not sure how I feel about it being only a rental, though.

The only reason the team wallowed around that pace was because the uncertainty of Yao/T-Mac coming back and the Brooks injury. Then there was the return of Brooks and reluctance of Adelman to finally continue starting Lowry.
When you look back the past 2-3 seasons, this team has gone through a lot. Now, finally, there is no question that this will be Lowry's team from the very start. That realization was beginning to show towards the end of the season.

Yeah, you know how you feel about it. You hate it. So why even build your hopes up for a player who is going to leave us high and dry.
