This is one reason Clutch had me fooled for a good hour on April fool's day a few years ago after the 22 game streak. I think we could have made a legitimate run with Deke, Olajuwon, and Hayes sharing the minutes at center.

Or am I just dreaming? ;)

In that video, Hakeem hasperfect form in everything. Dwight tends to fade away from his shot and even in his jump step. Dwight should be jump stepping into the defender to make the space...

If she was in her 20's, she was 20,21 and he was 37. That wasnt aging, that was too much of a young woman.

That's Islamic culture, women rarely marry men near the same age or at least that's how it use to be. If I was 37, I'd shoot for someone in the 20's too, actually no matter how old I get I'd still be shooting for 20's.

    People: Aug. 26, 1996 - TIME
He just wed Dalia Asafi, 18, of Houston, in an arranged marriage. "There's no dating, no boyfriends and girlfriends*…www.time.com/../0,9171,985030,00.html

So if dream was born jan 21,1963 and he married the 18 yr old in 1996, that means dream had an 18 yr gap on the girl. I thought it was half plus 7 or something like that. Anyway, it looked like his energy was way down and it had more than aging going on.

If he develops a repertoire like Hakeems, I will become a fan of whatever team he's on...

... unless he plays against the Rockets. I'm a die-hard.

Does it not bother anyone that he works with someone outside of the Rockets orginization?

They should have never traded him...

Half-plus-7 was the formula created by an American sect leader, Elijah Muhammad, who created a religion in Detroit the 1940s. He was leader of the "Black Muslims" or Nation of Islam, a made-in-America religion that Hakeem does not follow.

Hakeem is a Sunni, or orthodox Muslim. He and his peeps in Nigeria have probably never heard of Elijah Muhammad or his Nation of Islam cult (which folded in the 1970s and was later resurrected by Louis Farrakhan, but that's another story).

But yeah, if your point is that his getting married drained his energy and made him less a ballplayer, I think you're right! ;)

first of all, what the hell is an orginization?

do you know what Dream has done for the Rockets?

the only people that bother me are people who don't know what Dream has done for the Rockets. He owes them NOTHING.

if you take 5000 Yao Mings and 5000 Tracy McGradys and every single person here on this board,

it still doesn't equal 1 Hakeem Olajuwon. Hell it doesn't equal one Etonic sneaker.

Dream can do whatever he wants do, he's not under contract with the Rockets and he does live in America where he can do whatever he wants to do.

I don't care if he teaches the Dream shake to Osama Bin Laden. Dream can do whatever he wants to do and the so called Rockets fans better respect it.

Dream built the franchise on the foundation Moses laid.

And I dare say the dollars for Les is not something Hakeem lies awake at night worrying about... he's probably too tired from counting his own millions from his successful post-BBall real estate career.

i'm talking about glory. Dream brought glory and pride to the Rockets.

when you are a Rocket fan and talk about Hakeem, you can talk about nba finals, championships, quadruple doubles, mvps, dpoys, and finals mvps.
when you tell Knicks fans that Hakeem is better than Patrick Ewing, they know you are right.

waiting for Yao to grab some glory.

Does anyone have that black and white of Hakeem blocking MJ? I want to get that and make it a poster to put up in my room. I saw it posted here a few years back...

The Rockets could always sign him starting in March and play him 10 minutes. He'd still be faster than Miller and more fundamentally sound than Hill.
