That would be assuming he doesn't improve, which maybe he won't. Though he really is a great shooter (better than Deflino).

I'd see improvement as likely if he were coming off his rookie campaign, lacking in opportunity and/or was scouted as an elite talent. But he got major minutes in both of his first two years, jumping up to full staring share (36) in year two. He played alongside a great PG that drew attention. And, as stated, there's a reason he was a late lottery guy. He'll make some slight improvements throughout his career, but my guess is that by and large, this is who he is.

And as you implied, there's nothing wrong with that, per se -- especially if he gets better at shot selection and becomes a bit more efficient. If you find a starting-caliber marksman out of the No. 11 pick in the draft, you did a fine job. I just think the hype of him as a foundational piece is way out of line.

He makes no sense, seems bias. He said if the Rockets doesn't get Dwight, then they will have cap space big name free agents. Ok that's true. Almost all of the Lakers contracts comes off the book next season. Even with Dwight resigned, they will have a **** load of cap space left.

Not a fan of Kevin Pelton and the newcomers like Haberstroh and the like.

John Hollinger was ESPN and ESPN was John Hollinger

Special mention to Chad Ford Chris Sheridan Chris Broussard

Dallas should be in the 20's. I don't see why they get such a high score about their management after Cuban gave up the core that won him a championship in the offseason following--including Tyson Chandler--for nothing.

I still can't believe the Warriors passed on a Thompson for Harden swap. How good would they be with Curry + Harden?

I'm so glad most GMs aren't as good as Morey.

I agree that Klay doesn't seem to be a cornerstone type player but he is an exceptional role-player and is significantly better than Monta Ellis. He's an elite three point threat and so he spreads the floor and he doesn't do the Monta Have It All ISO dance for half the game.

Their future hinges on two things:

    1. Bogut's health
    2. Barnes' development

If Bogut's healthy and Barnes becomes an all star they're going to be dang good.

No ****. Think about how much money they are spending. Refusing to match Morey's offer was the problem. I think they should be a little higher tho.

Interesting that Pelton writes that the Rockets can deal Lin because of Beverly. Being the advanced stat guru he is I wonder if he has the data to back it up or was it instead a nothing embellishment to point out Morey's prowess for finding unheralded talent.

Don't underestimate Golden State. I think they deserve their spot. They have a young franchise player/superstar that will only be getting paid around 11 mil for the next four years in Steph Curry, and have very solid players with Klay, Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green who are all locked into rookie contracts for the next four years. Management has somehow put this team in great position, with RJ and Biedrins eventually will come off the books and already had this team make it to the 2nd round.

Whether bogut is healthy or not I think he's only on the books for two more years. If anything another injury would drive his value way down and they may be able to get him for cheap. I think as long as Steph curry is healthy, their future is bright. Besides rookie contracts and max contracts for superstars, is there a better contract than Stephs?
