I dont know why the folks in the media are so in love with Rondo. The guy is a solid player, but lets be honest.... -would he even be in the all-star conversation in the West right now?... -Is he going to be able to carry this team when Harden and Howard dont have it going (Parsons has shown he absolutely can for stretches) -Is he financially going to make anything less than Parsons will in free agency 16 months from now? -Whats the risk/reward really from a locker room and team chemistry standpoint? I really dont know that he really adds that much more to this team but comes at a pretty risk. I'm open for a debate on what exactly he brings, but with 1 hour 1/2 left before the deadline, I'm struggling for reasons as to why he helps this team that much with the risk he adds other than a big name, and what you lose with Parsons long term.
I know this is politically incorrect but I agree with you. When Lin complained about the racial issues he felt he was going through in the NBA SAS mocked him as if how can he compare that to what blacks have to go through. Not minimizing the black plight at all just saying racism comes in many shapes and sizes. And will always exist to some degree. I do believe it existed with Yao when he first entered the league and to a lesser extent with Lin and SAS let his racism seep out of his skin a bit when he minimized Lin's struggles.
I think that may be a product of your selective hearing. My observation has been that Stephen A. Smith's biting bluster and caustic criticism knows no color.
They talked about it at length today during Deadline Special. All of the guys- Legler, Broussard, and Penn said the Rockets should have given up whatever it took to get Rondo and that he would make us an instant contender this year. This morning on his radio show, Cowherd said the same thing. It's the company line.
Those guys have the collective IQ of a watermelon. That deal will still be there for us in the off season if we want it. And we can see if Rondo is really worth it too. Nobody is jumping on Ainge for the Rondo deal so we have time. Smart move my Murray, I'm usually a critic.
They are not analysts they are ESPN personalities, their opinions are worth as much as any poster on clutchfans, or perhaps less because they probably don't watch games and just go with/ against recent hypes and trends to get viewers.
it means he is praising Harden for being clutch and might be better than KD in being clutch. That's all.
lol Harden is no where near as good as Durant, ESPECIALLY in the clutch. Rockets fans should know that better than anyone.
