But Skip.. Dwight was traded... how can you say "he should've never left Orlando"? I believe that he needs to grow up and accept his side of responsibility, but that's LA's fault for trading for a guy in the last year that never said he would sign an extension. Boo Hoo
SAS is 100% correct re: Kareem. D12 is allegedly washed up now b/c he left. Nothing less, nothing more. These people are so incredibly transparent.
Kareem is just another butthurt Lakers fan. And if Dwight had chosen to stay a Laker, he'd be praising Dwight and many the Rockets fans here would be sounding butthurt like Kareem.
So far, most everything SAS has said wrt to Dwight, his decision process, and the reactions of other I find pretty spot on. Dont know if he has turned a new leaf or just is especially tapped in to Dwight, but he seems to be reading the situation as good or better than anybody.
Far from the truth. I don't agree in Kareem take on D12, but he is not a current Lakers fan. He has problem with Buss and he felt diss on not getting a statue in front of Staple center.
They must have a pretty friendly relationship, considering he was the one DH personally called/trusted to report that he was indeed 100% committed to Houston during that whole 50/50 fiasco. I know a lot of people don't like SAS, but I actually quite enjoy him.
After his diss on Parsons, i'm starting to like him now. He even now says Parsons is a stud. Harden is a stud.
Dude really didn't want to go there in the 1st place. He said he didn't want to follow and Shaq shoes. Kobe telling the man to take a back seat, this is his team had a lot to do with his decision as well. He also didn't play for D'Antoni either. Said he wouldnt flourish in that system. Want to be in a system that best fits him. But what's funny to me is , when one person says something a lot of jokers follow. I think Shaq and Kenny Smith were the 1st to say that nonsense.
I like SAS, and although he talks out of his a$$ a lot, he's been on it with the whole Dwight thing. And his comment about how Kareem wouldn't have said what he said if Dwight stayed IMO is the most truthful thing he has said in awhile. Laker fans are acting worse than Cleveland fans after the decision. I can't wait till we walk into the staples center and destroy the Lakers this year.
Skip skip Any time Skip says something, I go ahead and hear him out...and then I believe the exact opposite of whatever I heard.
The world is upside down. Right is wrong and vice versa. It's raining cats and dogs. And I find myself agreeing with SAS. The Dwight can't handle the spotlight is inaccurate. Fact is he could; he just didn't want to deal with it if it meant having to play for D'Antoni and being second fiddle for another 3 years with Kobe and a FO that doesn't listen to his advice when he's seeing how the Clippers bending over backwards for Paul and how HOU was bending over backwards for years to get him. But if he had been the man in LA, he would have been fine with the spotlight.
This^. This is very consistent with Ron from the G's message that Dwight wants Asik. SAS being so adamant about it on several occasions now suggests that Dwight's camp wants him to stay bc they realize what a drop off it was when Asik was off the floor. I suspect this is one reason why we didn't sign Josh Smith - to get him, you had to give up Asik in a sign and trade (ATL doesn't need or perhaps even want Lin). But if Dwight wants Asik to stay, then he can't be used to do the trade. I think we'll keep Asik until at least the trade deadline to see if he can play with Dwight, or to see if a trade is really needed (perhaps one of our PFs develop) or if an opportunity to get a legit PF arises.
I am SO saving up to go to one of the away games in full Rockets gear. ETA: I tweeted SAS yesterday to ask what was behind his opinion that Asik needs to stay. He didn't answer.
That rant 2-3 mins in is gonna stir up the mud I tell ya ! ....Uh Dwight...we R waiting for the A+ game.....'cause I see your FUTURE potential.
