    About IRON DIAMOND
May 14, 2006, a musical movement is born. On a two-and-two count, Miguel Cabrera lined a foul ball into the first base dugout, cold-cocking artist Billy the Marlin. Billy was sent into a state of alternate consciousness and envisioned a rock opera about Fantasy Baseball. When he came to, he shared his vision with then Marlins closer and "keytar" player, Joe Borowski. Thus, Iron Diamond was born. Borowski and the Marlin knew what they had to do. They went out and sought the musical talents of John Kruk, Geddy Lee and Peter Gammons who were at the time creating a demo album as the industrial/techno power trio "RISP" (Rockers In Scoring Position). Next, they needed to land a drummer that can "hit hard and consistently," and that's when they discovered Motown/Detroit Rocker Gary Sheffield. Sheffield then brought in alternative rocker and pitcher Bronson Arroyo, who added a few nasty hooks. The band's debut, "Fantasy Baseball: The Rock Opera" is due to release in April of 2007.
