A lot of times if a player makes a couple of midrange shots, it can open up the driving lanes as it forces people to come out on him. There is definitely a time for midrange shots. If you can be an effective midrange shooter, you are that much harder to guard.

Yes.. Occasionally... And since he occasionally fights for position his teammates occasionally pass him the ball. They see his offensive abilities up close and personal and that's probably why they don't pass to him that much...Lol... But, because Howard can't post up further away from the basket it makes it harder for him to get the ball.

MJ's the goat because of the way he could get to the basket and finish, not because of his jump shot.

I'd say both. He relied on that jumpshot a lot..especially after baseball.

You are so critical about Howard but gives Harden a free pass for his flaws. Come on man every game Howard gets great position throughout that game and his teammates doesnt pass him the ball.

But like Barkley and Co. sayed on TNT he has to demand the ball. You see when he complained the other day his teammates got him the ball and your hero played excellent defense and magnificent offense.

Both of you guys are correct. There are many reasons why MJ was the GOAT.
